We are taking a month long trip out west and then a trip to Disney in Oct. I'm just not happy with our current cooler. It's about 6 years old and just doesn't seem to be insulating like it should anymore. So what is your favorite medium sized cooler and how much did it cost?

For an extended trip like that, you might want to consider one that plugs in. We have one that plugs into the car charger port and maintains a good consistently cold temperature. Once you arrive at your destination, you can bring it into the hotel or wherever and plug it into the wall outlet with the other cord. It's quite convenient.

I don't know the name of it, but I think it cost somewhere around $100? when we bought it maybe 7 or 8 years ago. It's currently in storage so I can't get you more information at the moment.

Love the Yeti coolers but a mid size can run $250-300! But they hold ice for days in the summer and are almost indistructable . We also like the metal sided coolers from Colman , they work very well and don't cost as much but still pretty pricey. We wilderness camp for a week every summer and they both will keep ice for a week or better at 80+ degrees. Hope this helps. Have a fun trip!

I love Polar Bear coolers. They stay cold for up to 24 hours in 100 degree weather. The price varies depending on the size. I have the 12 can sized cooler and its great. I originally ordered the 24 can bag but sent it back b/c it was too big. If you purchase through ebags, they have free returns. I got 30% off with a military coupon code. It's for active as well as veterans and their families. My husband's father is a veteran so we qualify for the discount. But if you don't qualify there are plenty of 20% off coupons with free shipping.
