What is your favorite Halloween tradition or movie?

I have a Halloween playlist that I play while at work that day. I add new songs to it each year.

Then Halloween night I watch a scary movie (last year it was the original IT) and have a few drinks.

This year being that Halloween is on a Saturday I have Unreakable, Split & Glass on my Library list so fingers crossed everything works out and I get all 3 before that weekend. I plan to get pizza and watch them. Not currently drinking (that may or may not change) but will hopefully something yummy to enjoy I am sure.

The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown is viewed every year.
I love giving out candy at the door.
Two years ago we got married on Halloween (so I wouldn't forget the date) so it is our anniversary. There probably will not be trick or treating going on so we are going to Yellowstone National Park for Halloween and our anniversary.
Hopefully next year we can give out candy but I am thinking that tradtion made change for many people.

For the most part, I watch The Great Pumpkin and I try to watch Nightmare Before Christmas (I personally refuse to see it as a Christmas movie, even though it may be more Christmas than Halloween.)
I am trying something new this year. I want to watch 1 Simpsons Treehouse of Horror every day this month. I watched the first one yesterday on Disney + and I plan to watch all the rest that way, except for #31, which is set to air in a week or two, and I will DVR that. This is the only year I can pull this kind of challenge off perfectly, so we will see what happens.

Definitely not watching Hocus Pocus!

My wife claimed to fondly remember the movie so we watched it last year. We made it through about 45 minutes before she decided the movie either didn't age well or she had bad taste in movies as a kid.

I got laid off the next day.

Not watching Hocus Pocus this year.

Great Pumpkin as usual, it sets the mood perfectly. Night of the Living Dead used to come on TV every Halloween, so it's now a staple.

Throughout the month I load up on others: the rest of Romero's original zombie trilogy, most of the main Universal Monster movies (and at least one must-see sequel: The Bride of Frankenstein), classic slasher stuff, silent films, foreign horror, low-budget films both classy and trashy, etc. Tonight it'll probably be Carnival of Souls.

Tim Burton says it Halloween movie.

I like Nightmare as something to watch on November 1st or so. It bridges the gap.

I don't have any Halloween movies that I watch every single year as a tradition but I like Hocus Pocus, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Disney), and Ghostbusters. I might also play a Resident Evil or other scary video game around that time to keep the vibe going.

Tradition is to watch horror (not gore) scary or cute scary every night, last night we watched 1/2 of "Dr. Sleep" which is really good.
Favorite film is "American Werewolf In London" while usually adding "Zombieland" and "Sixth Sense" into the mix, for cute I like "Casper."
Always get a few bags of Brach's Candy Corn and adore Wawa Pumpkin Spice Coffee.
Have a few scarecrows in the house & one of those iconic giant Pumpkins that light up on my porch, love that silly thing.
Flower Mums, not this year though since no-one seems to be doing this curbside, same goes for fresh pumpkins.

1. Hearing The Monster Mash on the radio. It's one of my favorite songs.
2. We make white chicken chili and mulled apple cider on Halloween.
3. We watch Young Frankenstein on TV while passing out candy at the door, but this year I'm going to put the candy in individual bags and set them on a table in our driveway. We'll sit at a distance on our sidewalk.

Hocus Pocus is my favorite Halloween movie. I have bad anxiety, so I loathe giving out candy. Others do that, I just eat what's left over. We don't get many trick-or-treaters, my neighborhood doesn't have a lot of kids. This year the county is considering banning trick-or-treating anyway. More chocolate for me!

movie.......Rocky Horror

tradition.....in recent years with our sons having left the nest; we usually go to the casino but since it's on a Saturday and I'm not comfortable around crowds we will just stay home; with our lights off and hopefully find Rocky Horror on TV! :)

What about Hocus Pocus 2?
