What is your favorite Halloween tradition or movie?

I don't care for Halloween so no major traditions.

I do like to eat the candy.

And when the kids were little, we usually had pizza for dinner before trick or treating.

For around twenty-five years I had a “haunted garage“, a Halloween scene in the garage that kids (and parents) could view by crawling through large appliance boxes and looking through little slits cut in their walls. Also, carving jack-o-lanterns.

So I was always busy right around Halloween, but felt like I missed something if I didn’t see It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, as that first came on when I was young.

We watch Hocus Pocus a few times in October. Will also watch Great Pumpkin and other scary movies.

i take my boys trick or treating. My oldest said this is his last year.

i make “feat loaf” ..... meatloaf in the shape of feat on Halloween night.

I'm a big fan of watching the old "Disney's Halloween Treat" that aired back in the 80's (the cartoon with Donald and his nephews and the witch is one of my favorites).

We may pick another scary movie...maybe the original Nightmare on Elm Street. Maybe a Treehouse of Horror marathon.

The original Nightmare is a good choice, that's when Freddy was actually creepy. In some movies he's basically Beetleguise.

I dislike Halloween intensely and am always glad when it is over. The only thing I do is hand out candy to the little kids but will not be doing that this year.

I'm guessing this was a typo...twice, but if not, I'm really curious to know what you're talking about.

We always watch It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and Garfield's Halloween Adventure

Besides that, we change things up every year.

The Switch Witch. We started when DD was so little she didn't remember that she made up her name, where she lives, etc. Here is the idea: If you leave out your trick or treating candy Halloween night with a note asking for a gift she will trade you for what you asked for. It was a fun way to get rid of all the candy, I would let her pick out a few pieces and I usually took it to work the next day.

We do Pizza and Price nights all season. Pretty simple. We eat pizza and watch Vincent Price movies. It's awesome.

When my daughter was in elementary school, I put plastic fangs and candy eyes on plain bagels for her lunch, which she didn't discover until she opened her lunchbox.

This year we'll get pizza and if it's warm enough, put the projector on outside for our own outside movie theater.
