What is your favorite bagel and how do you like to eat it?

I'm thinking bagels for breakfast, lol.

Best bagels anywhere are from Pennington Bagel Experience. My favorite is a toasted sesame with butter (or the soy-based cholesterol-lowering stuff we actually use).

Hey Neighbor!! We live in Plainsboro and I have to admit I've never heard of Pennington Bagel Experience. Based on your post, we are going to hunt them down next weekend. If you're there, keep your eyes open for the 30-something couple covered in Alien Green Mickey Heads!

When I worked in NYC, my most favorite treat was a fresh H&H everything bagel, toasted with vegetable cream cheese. Honestly though, I never kicked any bagel out of bed. Mmmmm....carbs..... :cloud9:

maybe with some tuna salad or egg salad and a sweet noodle kugel on the side.
CDN, DH and I were wondering what sweet noodle kugel is? :confused3

Blueberry bagels with strawberry flavoured cream cheese *drooool*

It is really kinda funny since I *HATE* ALL forms of 'real' berries. I don't like their texture or the feel in my mouth, but I like 'berry' flavours.

Gawd...I miss blueberry bagels. I have yet to find one in Australia *sigh* Only 5 more days and I can eat some in the states!

I love any kind of bagel but my favorite is an everything with jalapeno cream cheese.

YUM! :thumbsup2

You know you can save a bunch (don't have exact #) of cals/carbs if you "gut" the bagel. You cut it in half and pull out the fluffy bread and create a shell for whatever you like ~ cream cheese, cheese, butter etc.. You can take out as much or as little as you like. I feel less guilty this way. :rotfl:
We also like what we call the "shake" at the bottom of the bag of bagels when you bring it home ~ its also called debris (onions, sesame. poppy, garlic etc thats fallen off the bagels and settles in the bottom of the bag. We sprinkle it (OK I sprinkle it on top of my cream cheese)

That's a great idea! I will have to gut my next bagel. :teeth:

Also, at our local bagel shop in the fall they have an item called a pumpkin bagel knot (like a bagel just all twisted up in, well, a knot. :) ) and then they smother cream cheese icing all over the top. It is sooooo good!!
