I am a huge fan of a slow southern drawl. i don't know anybody with one but when I hear it in a country song my heart just flutters a bit! Probably why I listen to country in the springtime. I also like an English accent too, and Irish brogue can be cool too. I'm not any of these things, maybe thats why I like them, dunno:confused: So I'm curious if other people have favorite accents they like to hear too. I'm from NY and although I've lost most of it, the darn thing pops up when I get uppity. The other day I was excitedly telling my DH a story and it popped out with my tees becoming dees, DH and I both cracked up... It was sooooooooo bad:rotfl: I've had a few friends tell me how much they love my NY accent which is funny to me because I don't think its exotic at all and tend to hide it. Some words I always say wrong though, like caw, cawfey and waduh aka: car, coffee and water. Anyway, do you have an accent, what is it, do you like another one and what is it you like?

Mine would be a proper English accent. My grandma and my dad were both born there. I've also had other relations move stateside - cousins, aunts, uncles. My dad has long since lost his accent and my grandma never lost heres. She passed just last month so it's even more special to me now.

When I talk fast or get nervous, even though I was never to England, an English accent slips out. I think it's from hearing it my whole life. :goodvibes

My favorites are English and Australian.

I like a drawl in a woman but in a man it makes me skeptical of their honesty. I know, weird huh? In general, English accents just enchant me.

A southern, english or irish accent instantly makes a man hotter. :cool2:

I love Australian accents. Around the states, Boston accents. I freakin LOVE the way they talk. Maybe it's because I'm an NKOTB and Mark Wahlberg fan lol.

I love an Australian accent, my husband has a good imitation and I love it when he does it. A Scottish accent like Gerard Butler's is also hot. I also like English accents.

An English accent in a very proper English gentleman will melt me away :lovestruc

i'm from alabama, so my southern drawl is as thick as it gets, lol. my favorite accent is scottish, like sean connery's.

I love Scottish and posh English accents, although the English accent I heard growing up was definitely Cockney - my grandmother was from the East End. My sister Holly says she was 10 years old before she realized her name wasn't Ollie!

English accents are my favorite to hear.

My great-grandmother was from Wales and kept her accent until she passed in 1996 at the age of 95 (not sure if her accent was Welsh or British though). She was here in the States for over 40/50 years and don't know what year she moved from there to here.

My boyfriend is Lebanese and I love to listen to him talk. It's different from a regular Arabic accent because of the heavy French influence. Other than that, I really love listening to most Eastern European accents.

Irish for me. LOVE Irish accents and could listen to an Irishman (or woman!) talk all day long. I have a southern accent, though not the deep version of it. I went to camp in England one summer and they all loved the way I talked, which just cracked me up!

I LOVE Australian accents. English accents would be a second.
