What is Your Family's Ideal Number of Days at Disney?

We usually do 7-8 nights. I would love to go longer but we usually go when the kids are in school and taking them out for more than a week is just not going to work.

10 days: 2 days of travel we stick to non park activities; 1 water park/rest day, 2 universal days, 5 wdw days.
This seems to be a nice pace for us. I'm a park commando as is most of my family (Or they follow along knowing they have no real choice) I like not rushing to a park on travel days and it gives me more flexibility in choosing a cheaper flight because I'm not worried about park time. With our park hoppers we also get to break the trip up a bit.
This year we are going to universal on arrival day because hunny really wants a third day (idk why, they are really only one days parks but okay). We shall see how that goes. At the end of the day I'm going to Disney world. I've gone to a convention and only got 2 park days and was just happy to be in my happy place

5 - 7 days every 18 months are plenty for us. We go in the down time so crowds are minimal, so we can ride everything we want. Also we've been there plenty of times already.

Coming from the West Coast we do longer trips as we we can't get there as often as we can to DLR.
