What is Your Family’s Ideal Number of Days at Disney?

We live in California so we do a minimum 10 day trip. We prefer longer trips because of the travel time and cost of airline tickets.

Our first trip was 7 days with 5 day park passes and we crammed a lot into those days so it was a bit too short. This trip coming up we're staying for 9 days with 6 day park tickets, so we'll see if that's long enough.

We do a week. Since we live in Louisiana its harder for us to come often. With a family of 5 , now our kids are getting older its getting into our pocket lil more. So, 7 days is all we do.

My ideal would be to go several times a year for 3-4days. But since I can't afford to get all 5 of us there that often, we tend to do a 5-7 day trip once a year.

Haven't been in about 3 years :(, but liked trips in the 8-12 day range myself. Took lots of time to "relax and smell the flowers" on the longer trips, so I didn't feel like I needed a "vacation from the vacation" when I got home.

We prefer to stay as long as possible. We've gone for 2 weeks several times. That isn't enough but it sure beats 1 week :). I'm quite certain we would not get bored if we stayed a 3rd or 4th week. Of course, we wouldn't spend every day in the parks. During a 2-week trip, we do 5 park days. The other days we do various other things in the area like KSC, ziplining, shopping, DTD, resort hopping, etc. We have never all gone to Sea World (I was there once in 1978) and would like to do that some time. We've been to Universal once but it was before Diagon Alley opened. We'd like to go back and see that. And we'd like to explore beyond the immediate Disney area, like Tampa, Busch Gardens, Daytona, etc.

So I don't really know what the ideal number of days would be. I'm thinking "unlimited" as in moving to Florida would be perfect.

I once booked 14 days and left early. We were over it.
We have been going at least once per year for 16 years.
I tend to book 4 or 5 nights most often, but in general the more the better :thumbsup2 A 3-night stay is "worth" the drive down but just barely..4-nights starts getting good. 5 or 6 nights even better.

We fly from California and usually stay 10-14 days and would Love to stay longer!

I haven't been able to convert DH into a mega-Disney fan, so the ideal length is a blend of how much is my minimum to be happy coupled with how much he can tolerate before becoming less than magical. Ideally, I'd love to go for 10 days, but with him...6 days seems to be the max before he turns into Grumpy.

One year I did 3 short trips, and it was great, but I do love the longer trips. Most times it's a week, and the last one was for 9 days. That was the best.
