I booked a trip on monday this week for may 12th. I have now 9 days out....and I am now not sure if I can go!!!! I cannot walk! my knees are not only gone, my Achilles tendons are shot and I have some blood vessel crap going on! My birthday is the 15th and I just wanted to relax...:confused3

so what do I have? 5 days out right? (ap rate room only)

If I get cleared by my doctor then I will go ...but if not!:scared1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

My closest is six weeks out for WDW and 10 days for Disneyland. I hope you get to go! I do believe its five days out, but with a doctor's note you might be okay to go closer in. Disney is pretty nice about things like that. Definitely ask your doctor to write a letter you can fax if need be. I hope it all works out for you, take care and get well soon!

Well being local I may be a bit of an outlier here, but I have booked many times for a same day arrival. I love going last minute because its like a little suprise that I wasnt expecting. I hope you get to feeling better. I would hate for anyone to miss a trip to Disney. Worse case, couldnt you just sit beside the pool for a few days?;)

Oh how I wish I was close enough to do that -- great idea!!:thumbsup2

Hey, don't give up, get one of those electric scooters! They're great and you'll be able to get all around without bothering your knees. Go, and have a great time!

:rotfl: I came really close to doing that yesterday. The kids were driving me nuts and I felt like I needed a little "magic." pixiedust: We're a bit further away than you are, though - about 6 hours. I got as far as checking online for park hours and to see if Shades of Green had rooms available before I slapped myself back to reality. :rotfl2:

I did tell my husband that he got really close to getting picked up at work with the directive, "Get in the car. We're leaving."

One day, I'd love to do that - totally surprise my kids and make myself really happy! :)
