What is with all the ads and announcements on right hand side of page

For me, the boards are refreshing quicker than the other day. That was a nightmare!

I'm also getting used to the ads on the side - still don't like them being there though /insert 2 yr old whine here...

I just don't like the squishing over to the left side thing. It just seems to make everything seemed cramped. And a little more difficult for those of us with focusing issues.

I'm thinking it's just a courtesy "test". Just giving us a heads up that this is the way it's going to be. Much like it is on Cruise Critic. But, at least over there, I can scroll in and the right hand column is off the page. Here scrolling the page larger just re formats it, leaving that pesky column still squishing things to the left.
