What is weather like in October at WDW?

I have only been to WDW once, in early May of last year, and I was wondering what my fiance and I can expect as far as the weather goes. Illinois weather is extremely unpredictable at that time!

I prefer the Oct/Nov time of year at Disney! Oct was very comfortable for us... still warm enough to go swimming without freezing yourself getting back to your room but not so hot that you can't do anything without sweating to death! I think you will be pleased with an October visit!

I went last year, around Halloween time. I liked it quite a bit. I was so afraid that it would be too hot but it was just right for my taste. It wasn't too hot and it wasn't too humid-I could not have ordered better weather.

To give you a little bit of a perspective the highest temperature is around 85 and the lowest is low 70's. If I could live someplace that was like that all the time I would.

Although, there was one night where it had gotten chiller than I had expected, after that night I ended up bringing a very light sweater with me.

We're going Oct 28-Nov 4 our fourth time during Halloween. Its one of the best times to go - usually mid 70s to low 80's during the day and cool but not chilly during the evening - humidity is usually low.

I'm from NYC & think Florida in October feels BRILLIANT, even when it gets nippy at night. My friend once brought ONLY shorts to WDW -- he won't ever make that mistake again.

I'm going in October as well. Maybe I'll see ya there!

Thank you so much guys! The info is much appreciated, and I'm glad to hear the weather is nice then! When we went last year (it was our first time) I expected it to be hot, and it certainly was- apparently record highs last May. We were miserable. 70's and 80's I can handle, though!! Can't wait!
