Having always gone in Spring or summer I would love some info on end of November beginning of December.

We r considering 2018, thanksgiving is 22nd so it would be after then!

what is weather like? When do the xmas decorations go up?

Do virgin still fly daily from manchester at that time of year?
Do any other operators fly direct from Manchester during the winter months?

Any help is really appreciated

Thanks

Weather at that time of year is notoriously difficult to predict. I was there 27th Nov - 4th Dec this year and we had beautiful weather. Warmest was 28 with 70% humidity and coolest was 22 with 30% and I think I saw someone say it was the hottest week on record for that period. Wore shorts/strap tops the whole week and just had a light cardigan or jumper for the evenings (and only because I was sat around waiting for stuff). However I've seen on the DIS that people have experienced really chilly weather at that time of year and had to buy sweatshirts, hats and gloves because it's been so cold. Basically there is no way to know.

Christmas decorations at MK are up at the very beginning of November for the first Christmas parties but the other parks/resorts are usually completely decorated by Thanksgiving as the Christmas meet & greets/holidays around the world/candlelight processional start straight afterwards.

I fly from London so I don't know about flights from Manchester I'm afraid but I know British Airways only does one flight a day from London at that time of year

Thank you

Are the candle light procession/ holidays around the world ticketed events?

There is a dining package available for Candlelight Processional at many restaurants at Epcot (and a couple at YC/BC) which guarantees you a seat but there are some standby seats available, how early you'd need to line up to get in generally depends on the celebrity narrator.

Holidays around the World features a few specialty food kiosks serving traditional holiday food from different places and then there are also Holiday Storytellers giving little talks about what Christmas is like in each of the countries (Hanukkah is also represented at American Adventure). There are also specially themed performances but they are all unticketed

Our last trip in 2014 was at that time of the year and our next in 2017 will be too. Crowds are generally not too bad and weather was ok during the day but did get chilly once the sun went down. We love being there with the christmas decs up and went to candlelight with the dining package last trip, worth it even if just the once. I should imagine you will be able to get a flight daily from manchester at that time of the year, even if there isnt as many. Ours got moved to a later time last trip as the flight we had booked was so empty they just moved us to 2 hours later. Plenty of notice from Virgin though.

We have done early Dec twice now. It will be quiet as its after thanks giving. Some of the Pop Warner kids might get on your nerves with there chanting and cheering. Disney are pretty good at getting them to shut it, Universal don't do anything.
