What is up with....

Okay, I think I have a hypothesis on why sex is "everywhere." It's been everywhere since the beginning of time, we all know this.

We grew up with it around us. Speaking for myself here, when I was younger, I most certainly didn't watch any movies with sexual content in it. I never payed attention to commercials. I saw pads & tampons & razors, and didn't think twice about anything of the above.

Now that I'm older, I can watch a hugely different variety of movies. And most of my favorites imply a sexual content. Pads and tampons are still in my face, and razors are too. But now that I know the purpose of all of it, yeah, it's still out there, and I still don't second guess it. Oh, and the commercials are still there every 15 minutes or so. But yes, I did used to think it was weird when I was younger.

There's a transition from being ignorant about what's shown before you, to growing up and acknowledging the fact that sex, or anything really is still there.

2. Im tired of everyone telling me what sex is. Honestly, I was always taught "If you dont know what it means, then dont say it", let alone make an entire thread VENTING on it.

this isnt a thread based on "fact" its based on opinions, and you know it.

This thread was not pointed at anyone in particular, im just pushing this out there for EVERYONE.

You came across like you were saying sex was a stupid thing and there was no reason for it.
People came out and gave you differing opinions to help you see why sex has the roll in society that it has today.
You gotta be ready for explanations. I don't see anyone bashing you.

Sex just isn't high on my priority list of things to be concerned about in the media. Violence, on the other hand, is.

I didn't see anyone bashing you, I think they were just expressing their opinions. It's hard for some things to be interpretted on the internet.

Jeez, that wasnt actually a post where I was yelling. I just wanted to make things clear and YES, yes that IS bashing my post, because youre still not getting what im trying to say.

Im not saying at all, but Im just saying from the standpoint of PG13 of last year and previous years, compared to THIS year, its a little out of control.


I love Moulin Rouge, and thats pretty much all about sex.

Im not saying "EWWW YUCKY GET AWAY FROM MEE MOVIES WITH SEX" but, im saying, there's a LOT of them this year, and their plots are a bit ridiculous.

it's not neccesarily all about sex
it's basically about doing what you have to, to get by. and for these poor women it just so happens to be...sex.

You never said that your opinion was, but by the way some of the posters were behaving it really screamed that.

Well..its about prostitutes..so..like..THE Moulin Rouge is kinda all about that, but the storyline is completely amazing.
