What is tour favorite autumn food/beverage treat?

Mine would be a toss up between pumpkin pie and apple cider donuts for the food part - and for the beverage part, it would be a toss up between hot chocolate (with marshmallows) and cold apple cider..

Were we separated at birth? I just ate pumpkin pie and apple cider donuts this weekend...it was a good weekend. But I agree with whoever said "thank god for local farms"...too true. I eat these treats year round (minus the hot cocoa...it becomes less enjoyable when it's 100 degrees outside!).

Yum, autumn, definitely my favorite time of year for food!

Beer and cheese soup with oatmeal bread
Grilled apple sausages
Wild mushroom ravioli
Pumkpin pie, pumpkin whoopie pie, pumpkin cake, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin ravioli...

And beverage-wise: pumpkin eggnog, pomme lambic (a beer brewed with cider), hot chocolate made with hazlenut milk...

I LOVE autumn ! We have a local pumpkin farm w/huge corn maze that is so wonderful and I love their homemade pumpkin donuts, also pumpkin pie and they serve apple cider icy slush. We went down over week-end to get some pretty mums. I can't wait to have a family trip and take the grands later this month!!!

I'm hoping to make the trip this weekend with my DGD to the big apple orchard/cider mill up here to get some "goodies" and let DGD watch them make the apple cider.. (Oh - and did I mention they also sell their own homemade ice cream there available in many, many flavors? Yum!! )

The pies I can make myself, but I want to get some apples, apple cider and some apple cider donuts.. Last year I made apple cider donuts from scratch, but I obviously did something wrong because they weren't nice and plump like the ones from the orchard bakery... Maybe I'll give it a try again this year..

I have never had, nor heard of, an apple cider donut. YUM! I love apple cider so I am quite sure I would love an apple cider donut. I wonder if they are sold anywhere near the Charlotte, NC area. I would love to try one!
ETA: I have never heard of a pumpkin donut either, like 4nana mentioned. YUM! I obviously need to visit some local donut shops this fall.

Pumpkin anything! So far, I have made a pumpkin maple supreme pie and just made muffins last night. I also had apple cider doughnuts and pumpkin fudge at a the pumpkin patch last weekend. Mmmm....

OK. There is a pumpkin patch about 5 miles from my house. It gets quite busy in the fall with hayrides too. We have never been; we just buy our pumpkins at the local store. I guess I should try there.

Apple Dumplings for food. I love making huge batches of these and freezing them for the whole winter. Sooooo good with caramel ice cream.
