What is this turtle you dis'rs speak of at Epcot?

I have read references to a turtle at the Living Seas, but I'm not sure what the exhibit is?

It is the "surfer" turtle from Finding Nemo---named "Crush".

It is inside the living seas, and he does an interactive talk with the guests. Very well done!!! Both of our DS's loved it!

The turtle is Crush, dude. He's in Turtle Talk. DW and I haven't been in The Living Seas four times in the last ten trips and we were there four times to see the show when we were there 3/5 to 3/13.

It's an awesome attraction.

This is a interactive show . You sit in a small theater, kids usually up front if they want to, and there's a large screen where Crush-the turtle from Finding Nemo comes on. Kids & Adults are able to ask and have answered questions. He'll call on kids by saying-"The kid in the red shirt", the kids think it's really neat.

This was one of the shows my kids remembered most. When you go down into the "seas", head straight for the line to get in. You won't want to miss this.

Now, if they could only do something with the rest of the Living Seas (sigh)

We go in a month, and I can't wait to check this out with my 5-year old DD!

My son is still talking about this attraction!!! He is only 3 1/2 and we were there almost 2 months ago.

Whenever we see crush he says "he says me dude"..
interpretation, he said to me dude. If we see a turtle we ask him...what does the turtle say..."he says me dude."

In todays paper, there was a picture of the attraction/crusy in the travel section and he was looking for himself in the picture, it was too funny.

Don't miss this. The only bad part about it was the 40 mins of pre show and lines getting in queue and the weird elevator thing. And I couldn't figure out how to get out of the Living Seas after Crush. Spent 20 AWESOME minutes w/Crush and 40 minutes on part of Living Seas that were a yawn. My only complaint.

I felt so rushed to try to see everything in Epcot that I would have preferred the 40 mins doing other attractions that were a priority.

If someone knows a way around the loooong entry to Crush thru the Living Seas I'd love to know.

If you don't want to see the movie there are doors in the back left that take you to the hydrolators and then right to Sea Base Alpha.

The movie is only seven minutes but the other way is about minute and a half.

Speaking of turtles, look into the water off to the right as you walk from Spaceship Earth toward World Showcase. The water is loaded with great big turtles. We saw at least eight the other day.

I'm so glad I read this! I had no idea there was anything new in The Living Seas. We're taking my neice (age 2) and my nephew (age 6) in a few weeks. Finding Nemo is one of their favorite movies! We'll be sure to see this! Thanks so much!

Is there a way to Sea Base Alpha without taking the "Hydrolator"?

Not unless you are in a wheelchair. Actually, since the SeaCabs are gone, I don't think they bring wheelchairs around anymore.

We saw Turtle Talk this Saturday. We waited 6 minutes to get into the round room, 6 minutes in the room, a couple minutes on the Hydrolators and maybe 10 minutes in line for the attraction. Not too bad. Well worth the wait. It is a really great attraction. It was a pleasant surprise after seeing what happened to Stitch at MK.

Turtle Talk is now a don't miss for us at EPCOT. The technology of the interaction is awesome. Our kids (and us adults) loved it. Beware, I think it was Art Linkletter who said "Kids say the darndest things" and he was right.

We have skipped the hydrolator several times - just approach the operator and very quietly explain that is scares your child to death.... but they love Sea Base Alhpa once inside. Then ask if there is any possible way to avoid that terrorizing experience for them. We have been able to do this twice. There is a passageway on the left hand side that they lead you to. They have to clear it with another castmember who gaurds it, and then you are through. Keep in mind that you cannot access this untill you are already at the hydrolators so it will not save you any time in line.

Now, I say ask quitely because they do not like to advertise this fact. I have to say that both times they did it for us it was rather reluctantly. There is a very friendly cast member who works the hydrolators - an older but very buff black gentleman...(I forget his name) but he is quick to tell anyone who will listen that he is a former Mr. New Jersey for Body Building. If you spot him give him a try!

Don't think, "scaring the little child" will work for me. As I am a female boomer traveling without children. I am the scared one!

I really don't like the hydrolator. But maybe the short ride is preferred to embarrassing myself by getting down on one knee and begging!
