What is there to do at AKL if you eat at Boma?

We're going to be eating dinner at 6pm at Boma. What else is there for us to do at AKL either before or after we eat?

Hi,

Well... you could just look around the hotel, the lobby is massive and impressive with several african art displays. (Also lots of African art through the other areas of the hotel)

Just outside the lobby is the Arusha Lookout where you can view the animals and talk to the guides.

The gift shop at AKL is nice to look around in.

There is a bar "Victoria Falls" where you could get a pre dinner drink.

There is also a pool bar.. you could have a drink out there and also there are animal viewing areas at the rear of the pool area.

I stayed here for 9 nights and then 3 nights a year later and never got tired of looking around. If you walk down the long halls where the rooms are... there are many picture windows along the way.

There are many hidden mickeys at AKL you could pick up a hidden mickey safari sheet and try to find some.

After your dinner it should be dark enough for the night vision scopes...

AKL is an astoundingly beautiful resort. There is much to see and do just touring around waiting for your meal. Last year we did the same thing you're planning. This year we're planning a two day stay before hitting the Polynesian. I imagine you'll be sold on it as well.

As stated above, there's so much to keep you busy the walk around the resort will be as memorable as the meal.

Boma, in the mean time, is excellent. Last year everyone was telling us about the "zebra domes" (don't worry, you eat them!) Well, I had two, and they are delicious, as is everything else I tried there.

You are in for a wonderful experience.

Bring a camera, you don't want to miss capturing this amazing resort on film!

Also, there is the storyteller. There is an outdoor fire pit with large beautifully carved chairs around it. There is a storyteller whom I believe was a student from Africa who shared African folklore. It was at 5:30 p.m. when we were there and we really enjoyed it.

The story telling is later now... at 7:30pm... our kids just did it a few weeks ago.

You should be there a good 20 minutes early to get a rocking chair... sometimes many people show up.
