What is the worst movie ever, in your opinion?

:faint:
Some of my FAVORITE movies have been listed…I guess I have bad taste!
I actually own the 5th Element on VHS AND DVD!

Me too! :lmao: I love that movie, and lots of others mentioned here! I saw Moulin Rouge 7 times in theaters. I have seen a lot of movies...I majored in film in college.
I guess I really love ridiculous archaic musicals - I love this one too!:

134 posts and no one mentioned this stinker by Woody Allen: Everyone Says I Love You

It cracks me up how bad Julia Robert's singing voice is. :rotfl:

(sorry Disney fans)
Atlantis--I DESPISED that movie!
I agree with you - to this day, Atlantis is the only animated Disney movie I flat out could not stand!

Obviously none of you have seen "The Leprechaun"!!:headache:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leprechaun_(film)
lol, I just read on wiki that there was a "Leprechaun 4- in the hood" with Coolio!:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:
The guy who brought me on a date to see the first one probably has the DVD!

I've seen Leprechaun! It was really, really, REALLY BAD! DH loves junk like that but even he admitted it was bad. He loves the "Chucky" movies (Child's Play). I HATE them. I like alot of the movies mentioned here. Pulp Fiction is one of my favorites.

Add to the list:
The Beverly Hillbillies Movie
Chicken Run

I also hated No Country for Old Men. Boring and senseless.

My students (seniors) all wanted me to watch "Superbad" last year but I couldn't find the time (actually I had tons of time; it just didn't interest me).
Robin M.

I LOVE superbad! I've watched it a billion times. I dont think it would be good for school though. they drop the f-bomb 186 times.

Personally, I find that any number of movies that are supposed to make you think actually do not do that so much as attempt to force the director's viewpoint down your throat OR they are marred by poor acting/poor plot.

Have to agree! And when the movies that are supposed to make you think are dubbed as something in another genre it's hard to get into that vein, KWIM? Kind of like ordering a Coke and spipping a diet Coke brought to you by mistake. Hard to like it then.

"I Think I Love My Wife" with Chris Rock. DH & I kept waiting for it to get better. We finally gave up about half way thru. "Knocked Up" was another one. I wanted to rent it because everyone else seemed to like it. DH gave me heck over that one.

I HATED The Family Man. Bad premise and horrible conclusion. I never saw another Nicolas Cage movie again.

Moulin Rouge for sure. I still have nightmares about wasting my time on that.
Sense and Sensibility. They showed this on a plane. I guess they wanted eveyone to fall asleep so they didn't have to serve drinks.

Then there was this one with Matthew MCoughney where's he's some treasure hunter guy barreling through a desert with penelope cruz. BLECH

#1 on my list is still Moment By Moment starring John Travolta and Lily Tomlin (1978). Talk about a lack of chemistry! If you don't believe me, check out the comments/rating this film has on IMDB:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077942/

Of recent movie titles, I think Death Proof was awful. I usually enjoy anything Kurt Russell is in, but I couldn't make it through the entire movie. I guess I'm just not a Quentin Tarantino fan.

Moulin Rouge and Joe vs the Volcano - I know both have been mentioned but they both are horrible.

Also, whomever said that about Nicole Kidman was really on. I had never thought about that before but seriously - spot on!

Also -re Leprechaun. My BIL worked on that one. I felt bad because it was so bad, but he knew it was bad too! He said it was a paycheck! LOL

Microwave Massacre?!?!?!? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm sorry, but that just screams Oscar nomination!!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I gotta go look that up.

I remember laughing b/c I couldn't believe anyone would spend $ to make this movie. It was ridiculous.

Highlander: The Source

There are no words to describe how awful this movie was.

Sphere with Dustin Hoffman, Sharon Stone and Samual L. Jackson. My BIL and I walked out going WTH did we just watch!?

Then there was this one with Matthew MCoughney where's he's some treasure hunter guy barreling through a desert with penelope cruz. BLECH

Sahara! Which is a great Clive Cussler book! The movie blew chunks, so bad that Clive sued to get it stopped.

My worst movie would have to be
From Dusk till Dawn.
That had to be the stupidest movie ever made!! Why I sat through that movie cannot be answered.

angelhalo-Plan 9 is supposed to be the worst movie of all time. It is sooo bad, so utterly, absolutely ridiculous, that it is almost good. Almost.

Citizen Kane...supposedly the best movie of all time. What a let down. A sled?!!

I agree with Citizen Kane. I watched it and never got it. I just don't see what the hype is all about. :confused3

Otherwise, there are just so many I could classify as worst movies.
I like some really bad movies just because they are so bad and I can just take them for the enjoyment. Other films That are supposedly great I don't like because there's no enjoyment in them for me.

Some of the films listed here I haven't seen just because I knew I wouldn't enjoy them. Some I have liked others I didn't like.

Some I really hated that I haven't seen listed here is
The Age of Innocence
The Straight Story
The Incredible Journey

All of these I found incredibly boring.

There's way more, but these three always have stood out in my mind.

POC!!! Had my TV not been new when I watched the DVD, I just might have kicked it in. HATED it!

Moulin Rouge...gave me a headache from the getgo and I had to turn it off. ::yes::

There are so many, but most recently...

Margot at the Wedding! AWFUL - no plot - awful acting - just plain bad!

Who was the previous poster that stated that all Nicole Kidman movies are bad? Well, you are right. I just can't stand her - I thought that my love of Jack Black would counter my hatred for Nicole ... but no.

OMG and I can't forget....

Leprechaun
Leprechaun 2
Leprechaun 3
Leprechaun 4: In Space
Leprechaun in the Hood
Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood

 :headache:  :rolleyes1 :worried: :( :headache:

:faint:
