What is the weirdist/strangest thing you own?

I have a couple of voodoo dolls. My parents however have a buffalo "puck" and the largest collection of buffalos you will ever see. They also have a skeleton in the living room that is dressed in pants and a t-shirt and has a piece of fur taped to his chin for a goatee. He also wears a fur hat. His name is Mr Bones. My mom also has a lifelike doll that she named, changes his clothes for the seasons and tells people he is the good son. I don't think my voodoo dolls are that strange considering my family.

I have two weird ones...

John Denver's High School yearbook (not his personal one, but one from a classmate).

A small bottle of dust from Lizzie Borden's house.

:scratchin

We own a Kangaroo skin rug. We got it as a wedding gift from DH's brother. It has always been a conversation starter that's for sure.

I have a Kiss (the rock band) transister radio. My mom bought it for me in the late 70's and I still have it!

DH has a piece of trinity glass that he picked up from the Trinity Test Site. The sand got so hot during the Atomic Testing that it actually melted into glass. Pretty cool.

I have my costume from my CM days at Living Seas - orange polyester pants, white cotton shirt and orange polyester jacket. I also have several photos of myself and other CMs goofing off inside the World of Motion and Horizons when the park was closed.

I don't really own this, but it's in my house...

A piece of my dad's foot. Literally. He had it amputated about about 18 years ago, and he asked his doctor if he could keep the heel bone. A recurring infection in his heel bone from a Vietnam wound was the reason for the amputation, and he wanted a souvenir, I guess? They had to go through a whole bunch of paperwork to see it it would be ethical, and I guess they agreed. I recently bought my dad's house, and he left me the deep freezer with the bone in it. It's still his, I just get the pleasure of having it in my basement. Now, I tease my step daughter that I going to make her Papa Nick stew out of it...

Now, I'm sure I've grossed you all out for the day....:crazy2:

Hmmmm. I think this one wins!

I found the toy Dalek on a Doctor Who site somewhere and now I'm on the hunt for a Sonic Screwdriver, the Master's laser screwdriver, Sarah Jane's sonic lipstick and other things from the show (I even have a version of Jack's peacoat)

I didn't think I had anything. Then your post reminded me that I have some crime scene pictures of the Borden's murder.

There is no way I am going to admit that this thing belongs to me. It is my DH's. It is a stuffed raccoon, standing on its hind legs, holding a bowl between its paws. It's supposed to be a candy/nut dish. :scared: This thing really creeps me out.

I'll be back. I'm gonna take a picture of it.

Oh, and I just remembered, when we were cleaning out my dad's house after he passed. We found one of those little hermit crab carriers, with a tarantula skin in it.:scared1: My youngest brother had a couple tarantulas when we were growing up. I remember coming home from college one weekend and they told me that Missy(the tarantula) had gotten loose in my room. I had visions of that Brady Bunch episode where the tarantula got into the boys room and crawled up Bobby as they were sleeping. Yikes! Anyway, we think Dad kept the skin that Missy molted 20+ years earlier. I have no idea why.

That's the damn creepiest thing I've ever seen.
Now I do.

Also incredibly weird. I can't believe that was made for a human to actually wear!

I don't have anything nearly as weird as any of this stuff!

I have dirt from Churchill Downs racetrack in a bottle. My grandfather gave me a tiki lighter thing when I was like 8. :confused3 I think I still have it somewhere. I have my first PICC (peripherally inserted central catheter) line at home in a bag tacked up on my wall. :crazy2: :scared:

It's similar to this, only bloodier.

About the weirdest thing I have here is an arcade game (well, cabinet, since I have about 8 different games to use with it) sitting in my office. I bought it when I moved into this place, and I haven't got a clue what I'm supposed to do with it when I get ready to move out.

I just thought of another weird thing. My great-uncle was in WWII. I never met this uncle, so I can't confirm this story. But he used to take coins that he found on dead enemy soldiers during the war. He was stationed in Europe and collected about 20 coins. He had them framed when he got back from the war and passed it on to my Dad. After my Dad died, I have it now.

You win :lmao:

I've got some confederate money around here somewhere and a cannon ball from the civil war

A large mirror- like bathroom cabinet sized- with a big picture of Mickey Mouse flippin' the bird painted on it. A gift from my Dad!! ::yes::
