What is the weirdest thing you have found in the street?

I was a police officer when I was young and found a lot of things in roads that became normal to me, but would be strange to most people.

Last week there was a grocery buggy (cart to non-Southerns) sitting on the sidewalk of our Main Street for several days. In front of an abandoned house. With some stuff in it. I don't think we have a homeless population so it was very random.

A very large fish. I tend to forget how close I live to the Chesapeake Bay and how many large birds prey on fish then drop them.

We found fish in a restaurant parking lot. They were a bit bigger than a man's hand. We never did figure that one out.

I am in total agreement with the PP - where in the sam hill hell do you people live that random decapitated heads and severed limbs on the road are a routine find? :scared1:

I work in LE when accidents happen you do body part recovery. Just the way it goes.

....a homeless guy near Times Square with all these shoes, sneakers, and boots hanging around his neck....and he had NO SHOES on his feet....:confused3

A dead beaver. Was cool because when was the last time you saw a beaver IRL? This was in a suburban neighbourhood, too! There are lots of little streams and such in this neighbourhood. I was sorry this little fella hadn't made it across the street safely :-(

A naked man riding a cow along the side of the road. Polk County, about 30 minutes from Disney. No one stopped or even seemed to notice.

A sealed brown box of wrapped frozen premium bacon! I spilt it up into freezer ziplock bags and stuck them in the freezer. We still have one bag left. It was some of the best bacon we've ever had -- must have fallen out of a delivery truck??

I also found an Eddie Bauer diaper bag in the street. It had some baby onesies, wipes, a couple of diapers and a Leapster (electronic baby iPad is the best way I can describe it) inside. I think someone must have set the bag on the roof of their car while putting the baby in the car seat and then left with the bag still on the roof. Then the bag must have fallen off when the driver turned a corner because the bag was right at the corner in the middle of a residential street. I posted a flier on that corner but no one ever responded.

a couple days ago a woman's arm.
I think I know what this was. ;)

I found a dog's paw once by the railroad tracks. :(

Well this week alone I saw a sofa in the middle of the highway and an enormous package of red solo cups in a parking lot. I also found a $20 bill in the brush not too long ago walking the dog.

Just remembered, twice I've seen used hypodermic needles - once at a baseball field and once in somone's yard as I was sitting at a red light, both around the same area.

Yeah unfortunately the rest of her was under the car.

Well this week how about approximately a dozen bails of hay:thumbsup2

A dead guy...in east st Louis Illinois.

I called the cops, they already knew about it but were waiting for the scene to die down before they dispatched anyone.

If you've never been to eat st Louis, DON'T GO!

I don't know anything about the diaper bag, but that bacon was mine. :teeth:
