What is the view and bed configuration of AKL 1BR suite?

For those of you who have stayed in an AKL 1BR suite, where was your suite located? What was the view? What was the bed configuration? My understanding is that they have different types of configurations, but I'd like to know which configurations have which view. Thanks for any info you can offer.

For those of you who have stayed in an AKL 1BR suite, where was your suite located? What was the view? What was the bed configuration?

I've stayed in both a two-bedroom and one-bedroom suite at the AKL. The suites were almost identical (the bedroom configurations were different, as were the balconies). The two-bedroom suite was on the 5th floor, overlooking the backside of the resort (Zebra Trail). The one-bedroom suite was on the 3rd floor, overlooking the area where the giraffes are housed (Kudu Trail).

We are staying in a 1BR suite at AKL in May and I have been unable to find many suite photos or information on where the suites are located and which savannahs they overlook until now.

Have a lovely stay at the AKL. My photos in no way do the suites justice, but they should at least give you an idea as to a few of the suites' layouts. From what I remember being told, the suites are on the ends of the fingers that jut out from the resort (with the exception of the Pres & Vice Pres -- they're in the center and overlook Arusha Rock).

I did check out the AKL FAQ some time ago, but there is little information about suites there.

From what you say it sounds like the suites are quite far from the main lodge, pool and dining. For $700+ a night you would think they would be placed in more ideal locations!
