What is the temperature like late at night?

I remember as a kid it would get chilly at night in the summer. I'm going to try to buy tickets for the Villains' Night, but I'm wondering how cold it might be from 8-midnight in March? Would sweatshirts and jeans be sufficient, do you think?

It totally, totally depends on several factors.

Where are you coming from?
What's the weather like that specific week at home?
What's the weather like that specific week at the parks?
What are the lows that specific week?

I've had March weeks with coats, and March weeks with sweatshirts.

Thank you! Coming from Texas, so it's hard to say. March is usually still a bit chilly, but could go either way, here. We've gone to FL in March and its usually warmer than Texas. I saw California is generally 70s during the day, but wondered if maybe the Villains' night might be less enjoyable if it is freezing!

Really, the only way to know for sure is watch the temps as that week comes near. It's tough if you're trying to use the weather to dictate if you try to get tickets, but if you go into it expecting chilly, you'll be safe. Jeans and sweatshirt will *likely* be well enough. But just watch the weather as the date gets closer to see if you need to pack a little warmer, or be ready to spend $60+ at the parks for a sweatshirt.

It can get really cold. The coldest I have ever been at Disneyland was in MAY one year, during a crazy windy, drizzly night. I literally wished I had a winter coat and gloves. It was in the low 50s that night. It had been in the 80s during the day.

Lately it's also been in the 40s at night here, but that's typical for January. One thing you need to remember is that often the humidity here is very low and that makes it feel much colder than it actually is. You *should* be fine with jeans and sweatshirts, but you need to check the forecast a few days out to know for sure.

Thanks for all your info. I'm guessing I should plan on jeans and sweatshirts for mid-February?

Maybe. LOL. Our weather can be so crazy. We have also had heat waves in the 90s in February. Stand by for the 10 day forecast and pack accordingly.

Gotcha. Thank you! :D

I'm a cold hardy Utahn, but a few years ago I remember watching F! on a damp 52° night in early March. I swear I could feel my blood freezing inside my body😂. It felt so cold even my teenage boys wanted to snuggle up with me, and that is unheard of! That night was the first time I'd ever used the heater in an Anaheim hotel room.

Unless it’s raining and under 50, I think you’ll be fine. Our friends from the Midwest and colder climates will run around in shorts when it’s 50 and above and think it’s warm, so it’s really your own tolerance level.

Just check the forecast the week prior to your trip and plan accordingly. I prefer DLR when it’s cooler.

Desert cold weather is different than normal cold weather.
Be prepared to dress warm.

It’s not the temperature, it’s the humidity and the marine layer. The chill cuts to the bone if you are not used to it. I’d recommend a jacket at the least. Sometimes a windbreaker over a heavy sweatshirt will work because it just seems to block that nippy breeze. LA people don’t get it but if you’re not used to it, it can ruin a trip. Learned the hard way long ago.
