No, I think they have realized they have been missing out on a lot of sales. Granted they should show how the newest resort is a better deal, price and longer contract. Not all resorts are for everyone. Like Poly, it has a ton of studios and the expensive Bungalows. Most families of 6 or more cannot afford the 1,000 points a week to stay in a bungalow. But they can afford the 225 points a week at SSR, BWV, OKW or AKV/L. We love Poly’s studios, but with no 1 bedrooms or 2 bedrooms, we cannot stay there for larger group trips. Yes you can get attached studios, but you lose the kitchen and washer and dryer. While they might make more money selling RIV, RIV has the resale restriction that some people do not like. They are making some good money selling sold out resorts.Anyone think its a little weird to be offering a deal on an old resort? I thought the whole point of inflating the price was to deter 2042 resort sales in favour of Riviera.

Yeah, the incentives at Riviera have a similar situation if you buy a certain number of points, you might as well bump up to the next level as it will actually cost less to get a few more points And we compared the offers at other resorts and the difference was minimal, so went with Riviera.Yes,150-199 $5 off, 200-299 $10 off, 300-499 $15, 500-999 $25 and 1000+ $35
For current members add another $3 to figures above.
Makes you wonder, imagine someone actually bought 199 instead of 200pts
Most direct purchasers probably don’t even know they could have bought anywhere except AUL, RIV or CCV. You have to be fairly well versed in DVC knowledge to get to know what other resorts you can by,
I’m any case the direct price of BCV is definitely off putting!!
$210pp, with discounts if you buy 150pts or moreHow much are the boardwalk points now direct From Disney? (Per point)
That’s a hard pill to swallow for 20 years left on a contract, when you compare it to RIV and even CCV direct. We were going to buy a 75 point contract there two years ago direct. We were on a waitlist. The price jumped to $190 per point from around $165 if I remember correctly. What do you know a day or two later they call, we have 75 points for you if you want them. We passed.$210pp, with discounts if you buy 150pts or more
