What is the shortest DVC trip to WDW you have taken if you fly?

We flew from BWI early last November - arrived in the morning sometime on a Friday, did Food & Wine activities on Fri & Sat, went to DHS on Sunday, flew home around dinner time on Sunday. It was quick but fun! We stayed at BWV.

We flew down on Friday morning and left Tuesday evening.

It still seemed like a pretty full vacation to us.

We've gone for a mere three nights before. Once in January and once in July.
No parks, just relaxation. Heaven.:cloud9:

I could SO DO THAT. Matter of fact I bet my kids could do it too. They love the DVC resorts and DTD. I think my 10th grade son would be all over that if it was not going to affect him missing school or sports. I could stay at AKV for a long weekend. I loved it there.

My son and I flew down on a Friday from Pittsburgh, saw Star Wars Ep III Friday night, went to Star Wars Weekend Saturday and flew back Sunday. When you a Disneyphile and Dvcer, no time is too short! That's the luxury of the point system. If you got the time, points, and a little extra cash, go for it!

Enjoy your trip!

2009 Trip
SS Treehouse 11/6/09-11/10/09
BLT MK View!! 11/10/09-11/13/09

I would love to pop down there for one of those weekends with my 10 year old. :thumbsup2 Hmmmm another thing to think about.

Three nights coming up this October. I wonder sometimes if it's worth it, given the cost of airfare.

Hey there!!! Well I have been lucky enough to get great airfare. I think it depends on when you go probably. I surely wouldn't pay a lot for any of these I am hoping to do in the next year or two. Plus older son is burned out on Disney now......so he will more than likely NOT be going in the near future at all for our 4 days trips. Our dd is in college so she too won't be making all of these short weekend trips we hope to make. Hey if you are down there less time....that means you can't spend a ton of money...so it all works out in the wash. :rotfl:

We've gone for 3 nights before and are doing it again in dec. It's a 2.5 hour flight and we can't pass up a deal.

I have done 2 short stays. One was by myself for 1 night in March and the other was in April for our 10yr anniversary.I surprised my wife with a 1 night stay at the BWV's.We had an early morning flight down and an afternoon flight the next day.Outside of the room not being ready until check in time(4:00pm) we had a a good time.We just relaxed and enjoyed each others company with no distractions......:upsidedow

I stayed two nights in June 08 just to have a pick me up WE REALLY NEEDED IT!!!

I think my husband has everyone beat for shortest trip- flew out of Boston at 9am on July 4 a few years ago to join us and we all left the next day on 9am flight to get back for a wedding, so all total he was in Orlando for 21 hrs.
He is a golf course superintendant, so for him that was more of a summer vacation than he usually gets!

I have a 2 night trip on October 3. It's not for Disney. It's to attend Halloween Horror Night at Universal but I am staying at DVC.

I have done a one-night trip before, but I didn't use DVC for that one.

The shortest trip I have done so far is 5 days. I never seem to get incredible airfare deals -- never under $250 round trip -- and with having to buy two tickets, I can't justify a short trip.

On the other hand, if anyone knows an airline out of Newark that has unbelievable deals, please let me know!!!

Ahhhhh that is the sweetest thing EVER. Very good.....very good.

Thanks for all the replies. Looks like we are going for a shorter than usual trip in Jan. I keep bouncing back and forth between 4 and 5 nights. We usually go for 6 in Jan. I am kinda thinking fly out Thursday afternoon or Friday morning and return Tuesday afternoon. I can get 59 on Airtran flying home and right now SW is 84 but we have a 60 buck credit to use. I am hoping that price goes down and I can score another credit.

We've done a bunch of 3 night stays. Usually 5 or 6 nights though and have done a couple of 13 nighters.

We have the $9 Spirit airlines from Atlantic City $232 total for 5!
Fly 6am sunday 11/8 - 9pm 11/10 2 nights at AKV
That gives us 3 days 2 nights!
Great pick-me-up :cool1:
