What is the order of stops for the boats around the EPCOT area resorts?

We are staying at the BWV and have 5:30 reservations at the Yachtsman Steakhouse and I was wondering if we can take the boat there. I know walking would probably be fastest but we will be dressed up and since it will be August when we go I don't want to get more sweaty than I need to.

Take the hollywood studios boat- from boardwalk boat goes to yacht club first stop.

In August, you're just as likely to sweat down waiting on the boat to get there as you are to sweat down walking to YC.

Thank you all. Now, about how long might it take? If we leave our hotel at say 5:00, would we get there in time for our 5:30 res?

I know that we will sweat no matter what we do but I was thinking that the less moving around we do, the less sweating we will do. :faint:

That might be cutting it close especially if you just miss the boat. It might take another 10-20 minutes to get another one, then the trip across and the walk into YC. I would leave the hotel sometime between 4:30 and 4:45, but I always like to be early.

As someone else said, take the DHS boat if you want to go the YC. It will be the boat that is coming from Epcot. Don't take the boat that is coming from DHS. The boats should run about 20 minutes apart, so if you just miss a boat then the next one should be along in 20 minutes. The ride across Crescent Lake from BWI to YC will only be a few minutes long. And then the walk from the boat dock to the Yachtsman will be a couple of minutes.

Since you are staying at the villas then there is a chance that your room will be close to the bridge between the BW and YC. In that case it would probably be less walking to go directly to the YC from your resort room.

What I do if I don't want to get too sweaty heading over to the YC/BC ( and don't mind if I have to stand on the boat) is wait inside Screen Door where I can see out the windows when the boat is coming toward the dock. Then I just walk to the dock and get on the boat. Since I'm usually among the last to board, I may or may not get a seat, but since I'm getting off the boat at the very next stop, it's not a big deal to me to stand. The only time of year I have been there that this wasn't a viable option was during the Osborne lights season when so many people were trying to board the boats in the evening that they were recommending people walk to the park instead of ride. Since all you are doing is riding across the lake, you should be able to wait in comfort in the shop until you see the boat coming from Epcot and approaching the dock.

Great idea, thanks!

If you really don't want to wait in the heat or walk over, simply go to valet outside the lobby and ask for a cab or get an uber. It will probably cost less than $5.

We did this a year ago when we had an ADR for the Yachtsman and were staying at the BWI. We had planned a relaxing stroll over to the YC but mother nature had other ideas and it was raining side wards when we started to leave the lobby. Plan B we went to the valet desk and had them call a taxi (taxi's were sitting just outside). I think it was $6 for the trip and by the time we were done the rain had stopped and we took a slow walk back to our hotel after dinner.

I would walk. We stayed at the BC in August and walked over to the bakery one evening. It wasn't that bad. You'll probably be waiting longer for the boat. An uber is another idea if you really don't want to walk.

If mobility isn't an issue, then from BWV, it's really only a 5-6 minute walk. I'd say go for it. Disney has great AC, and you'll cool off quickly.

Another option if the weather is nice is to take the stairs at the end of the hall next to room x002. It will take you out behind Jellyrolls and it's a quick walk over to the YC.
