what is the ONE thing that you wish you had in your bag when at the park

DH always carries hand towels. They come in handy for all sorts of things.

Individual drink packets (avoids soda overload) and dry face wipes to wet in a sink and refresh.

When I was younger and we went to Disney we bought these neclaces that were like little fans that squirted water out on your face, but we couldn't find them at the parks last time. I soooo wished that I had one.

Try WalMart....I just got mine for our April trip. They are in the camping section. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know how much a locker costs in the parks? I was thinking instead of lugging everything around I could keep our evening stuff in a locker and get the blankets and sweaters and whatever else later in the day. Do all the parks have lockers?

Another thing--we love our misty mates. Each person in the family has one.

They are very small misters that deliver a fine spray.

This is never a problem for us b/c we charge everything to our room, then pay it off with gift cards several times before the end of our trip before they would charge our account. That way we get free gas by buying gift cards at Giant Eagle, and we have the ease of not having to carry cash around! I know that won't work for everyone, but we find it much easier as I am someone who hates carrying things around if I can help it.

This year we are instituting the carry your own stuff plan. We have always had a stroller with us to carry stuff around, and this will be our last year, so I want to start the kids getting used to carrying their own stuff. That way the load is split, and no one has to stop and dig through our gigantor backpack for moleskin. They will each have their own back sack that will have their own little care kit in it. Each bag will include: sunscreen, lanyards, pins, a thin change of clothes, chapstick with spf protection, sunglasses, moleskin, bandaids, camera, inhalers or whatever medication is needed, etc...

I know that is not exactly what we wished we had but didn't bring, but maybe it will give someone else some ideas. Who knows? Since I don't like to carry things, I use things on my person that I don't physically have to carry with my hands. I use a clear little zippy container that is on a retractable cord attached to a clip. It clips to my chest and holds KTTW cards, my ID, and fastpasses. I also gave in and bought a little hip pouch that holds my phone and various little things I may need. It is NOT a fanny pack. I swear. Not sure what I'm gonna do when we ditch our stroller for good b/c it carries my changes of shoes (which are necessary due to major foot injuries), my body glide, and my anti-monkey butt. I guess I could rent a locker...

Anti-monkey butt???????? I realize this is an older post, but PLEASE someone enlighten me!

What do ya'll do with your bag while you go on rides?. This will be my first time at disney as an adult w/ bag/cooler/locker duty.

heavy duty cold/sinus medicine. I recommend something like aleve cold and sinus. Me and my ex were staying it wdw for 2 weeks and at the very beginning of the trip we both got terrible colds or something. WDW resort stores only carry sudafed and it just didn't do ANYTHING. We never have a car with us and rely completly on disney transportation. We ended up taking a bus to DTD and then getting a cab to a pharmacy down the road, but it was nothing like our pharmacies at home and the selection was terrible.

Funny part is, when I went overseas... I made the same mistake... grr

Such a great board, me and my kids are going for the first time in April, this is such a handy thread!

btw, anti monkey butt is a powder with calamine in it, works great against chafing!

A change of clothes for my 2-year old. She has been potty trained for half a year, but she had 2 accidents last week. I guess she was so excited that she forgot to tell me when she needed to go potty. You'd think after the first accident, I would have learned my lesson and packed an extra outfit the following days. Nope, twice we had to go back to the hotel room and change her.
