What is the nicest thing that has ever happened to you in Disney on your birthday?

My story is not my Bday but my MIL. On main street last year the barbershop quartet saw the button I made myt MIL wear. They stopped her and sang her happy birthday and made a big production out of it. It made her day! She felt very very special that day. 1 month later she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She is still fighting and doing very well and that memory often makes us smile. I hope we can all go together again next year after she beats this thing. The lesson here is "life is short, go to Disney and have fun!" Don't put off the things you have always wanted to do.

This is a wonderful thread and so many Good things that have happen to everyone. We will celebrate my DGD 4th birthday and my birthday while we are at WDW in September. Her's will be monday the 5th and mine will be Saturday the 10th. I cannot wait to see how she will react to people while she wears her button. I am sure she will feel really special and I have let CRS know that we are celebrating both as well. Keep posting and I will let you know about any Magic that happens to us. Thanks so much for this wonderful board.

SEANMCI I hope and pray that you MIL will get better. I am close to my MIL as well and she is coming with us to WDW. Take care. :sunny: :grouphug:

Thank you so much. Your kind words mean a lot me. She is one of those truly special people in this world and I feel lucky to know her. I plan on bringing her back some very magical pixie dust to help her get better.

I was there for my bday (Dec 15) in Dec 2003. I got the pin at MK and got so many happy birthdays from CM and tourists! The talking trash can (PUSH?) sang Happy Birthday to me (then called me senile because I was talking to a trash can). I got a free icecream bar at a cart. I got taken to the front of the line at space mountain.

Off to Epcot - the guard at the gate gave me an EPCOT birthday pin. Got a free margarita in Mexico and then the CMs in the Mexican store sang a Mexican birthday song.

Once we got back to BCV (our first trip home) we went for a swim. It was about midnight when I heard fireworks going off. I ran out to the walkway to Epcot but couldnt see so I ran back to our room (which had a view of EPCOT) and saw the most fantastic fireworks! It was all for my birthday! ;)

(I found out later that week that the were rehearsing for New years - but I still say it was for my birthday :earboy2: )

I was at MVMCP last year on my 40th b-day, and I was wearing my birthday button. We were watching the parade, and Santa was going by on his float at the end. He looked down at me and said, "Happy birthday to you princess!" My kids were amazed, but the people standing next to us were even more amazed. They couldn't figure out how Santa knew it was my b-day! :earboy2:

DH surprised me with an event from Gifts of a Lifetime for my 31st birthday. It was magical! :teeth:

My trip report on my signature tells you all about my special Disney birthday. It was my most memorable trip ever!

Although.. A couple years ago, I was able to meet Prince Eric, thanks to some Disney birthday magic. Gosh he was dreamy.... :cloud9:

i had my 28th birthday in magic kingdom last year.Breakfast at ohana where i got certificate and big fuss from goofy chip dale and mickey. Then got sung to by the barbershop quartet, also loads of cm's and guests wished me happy birthday-best birthday i ever had.Gonna do it all again next year for my 30th :cool1:

We are going next week to celebrate DD's B-day's. Where do you get the buttons? Someone said you get a special pin upon entering the parks.

Thanks everyone for posting the birthday magic! (I was supposed to be celebrating b-day 35 next Sunday at WDW, but DH was picked for a special two week training, so we had to cancel and reschedule for October - drat!)

I was there solo for my birthday a couple years ago. Got my birthday button early in the day. At the GF afternoon tea, they sang happy birthday and gave me a small cake. But the best thing happened when I went to the MK later in the afternoon. I went over to Big Thunder Mt, just to check out the wait time. The fast passes were gone, it was close to closing time. As I was staring up at the wait time (and huge line) I was about to leave cause the wait was too long when the CM asked me if it was REALLY my birthday. I said it was, so he gave me a FP to go on the ride. That was so nice of him.

I've never been in Disney for my birthday before. Until next week, that is! I will be going down Monday through Saturday and so I will be there Wednesday for my birthday for the first time ever! It's a solo trip, so I'm not expecting anything, but do plan to get a button at least. :goodvibes

I got an illuminations cruise for free...just my family...it was awesome...

I've never been to WDW on my birthday, but this year we will be there on a family trip with my husband's grandchildren. I sure plan on getting that button and wearing it prominently displayed.

But the real story is that I just made DVC reservations for my mother's 90th birthday next March, when we normally go for my grandkid's spring break. I took Mom when she was 83 and she outdid me. I was the one who always had to ask for a mid-day break. Now she will be 90 and is still in fantastic shape. She complained to me the other day that she was finally "feeling a few aches and pains". Wish I could say the same. I'm 65 and feel plenty of them. I got DVC reservations for Mom and my daughter & 2 grandkids, and my brother and his wife. I told MS about the occasion, and hope we get some response. I'm planning a castle dinner on the night of her actual birthday.

I want to surprise my daughter for her 15th in October...thinking about planning it and when she gets home from school on Friday tell her to pack...catch a flight to Fl and play at DW all weekend. She has MOnday the 24th her actually day off from school and we would spend that day at the Kingdom! This could be so great-she loves Minnie-wonder how I could work that out. :cool1:

I haven't been there yet, but as I understand it you get a pin at Guest relations in all the parks with the exception of the Magic Kingdom where you get it at Town Hall. Anyone out there please correct my mistake if I made one. Thanks
