What is the new procedure on adding pics to photopass card after rides?

I thought I had read that you can have your ride photos downloaded to your MDE and then decide if you want to purchase them or not. Is that true? I have purchased MM and will have a magic band but my DH and DS are traveling with my son's band and will not have a band. If they get on a ride and have a photopass card can they be put on that card and then I add the card number to my MM account.

If this is possible do you still have to go to the counters after the ride and pick out your pictures?

We have been to WDW many times but since we are basically traveling separate it is getting crazy.

Without a magic band, they can stop at the screens that show your picture and have the CM scan the photopass card to associate the right picture with your MDE account. Unfortunately, you won't be able to get a 7 dwarfs photo because they have no photo station at the end, it only works with a magic band. Otherwise all rides and photographers can scan the card and get all the pictures for you even though you're in separate groups.

don't trust the magic band, do the scanning. The person at the end of buzz lightyear told us that the picture would be added automatically. my wife scanned anyway and I didn't and we only got her picture

If you do have magic bands and somehing like this happens to you, you can either call or use the "contact us" form on the photopass web site to have them find your photos. You give a description of the people in the picture, ride/place and approximate time and they can very often find your pictures for you (unless the ride camera actually malfunctioned or something).

Your husband and son should be able to get a magic band in some fashion, just call to find the best option. Link thier magic band to your MDE/MM and that will capture photos and videos without uploading card. As other post suggest sometimes the ride photos don't get captured. Login to the MYDisneyPhotopass website with same MDE login info and verify your photos are being captured. I would check photos each evening. If some aren't captured then call Disney Photopass services, they are good about finding photos.

If DH has a magic band from our July trip this past summer can he take it and have his new ticket that he receives when he gets there added to the MB? if he can Since he is on my friends and family list would his pictures then be downloaded to my MM?

Yes The ticket is actually added to his MDE not the MB. And if his MDE has multiple people on it, then he would direct that the ticket be linked to, or associated with, your DH's self on the account.

So his MB and MDE are already there, he just needs to associate the ticket# with that account.
