What IS the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, when is it, and how do I get tickets/admission/whatever?

I'm going Dec 3-11, 2004. Thanks!

Hey we have the same dates you do.

MVMCP is a separate event after hours at MK. You need a separate ticket. Adults is $36.95 plus tax and kids are $26.95 plus tax. Those are the advance prices.

All the Xmas shows and the Xmas parade that will be on Xmas week are done at these specials parties. But the cool part is that it's at night and MK at night is pretty awesome. Plus, it "snows" on Main Street at night. Very cool.

There are a certain number of tickets sold each night, but only the Fridays seem to be the sell out days and they don't sell out until probably October/November.

You can call 407 WDISNEY to order the tickets.

The dates are Nov 28, Nov 30, Dec 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 17.

or call the toll free number:

1-800=828-0228 or 1-877-939-3732

Sould be loads of fun!

Thanks Tons!!!

I figured it was something I would want to do, but wasn't sure exactly what it was!

Are the rides open, do normal touring tips apply or are there other "secrets" just for MVMCP?

From what I understand, the park is closed except for those with tickets to the MVMCP. You get full run of the park. Lines are shorter, and there is much going on. Snow on Main Street!! This will be our first time at this event as well, so I really don't know the impact on what to expect! One tip I've picked up is to make PS for The LIberty Tree Tavern for dinner. This is a character meal, and it saves you from having to leave the park and reenter, or be herded into a separate area while they empty the park of non Christmas Party guests. Since you are at dinner, you are already there!

Another tip I heard was to get your FREE family photo taken early... saves standing in line!

We have gone the last 4 years and really enjoy it. The first year was excellent. The look on my dd (13 at the time) & her friend's faces as we came in and it was "snowing" on Main street was great.

My husband enjoyed it so much that we have gone each year since.

One thing to be aware of is that not all rides are open.

Here is a list of the ones that have been open the past few years:

Pirates of the Caribbean
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Swiss Family Tree House
Splash Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain
Country Bear Jamboree
Haunted Mansion
Peter Pan's Flight
It's A Small World
Cinderella's Golden Carousel
Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Snow White's Scary Adventures
Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Mad Tea Party
Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm
Mickey's Country House
Minnie's Country House
Donald's Boat
Tomorrowland Speedway
Astro Orbiter
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
Space Mountain

Plus they have a special parade for the party and free cookies and hot chocolate and different spots throughout the park. There is a special map that tells you where the cookies & hot chocolate are given out and what rides are open.

You also get a free photo. Also marked on the map. Last year we went to the spot near the Columbia House restaurant and got right in for our photo.

I think you will enjoy it. Especially if you have younger kids. But adults love it too.
