What is the most you have spent on a room at Disney?

Last time we went to WDW, we were lucky and got the 4+3 fairy tale vacation package...so considering we paid rack rate for GF Sugar Loaf concierge, we only paid for 4 nights and got 3 free, so about 42 percent off...figured to go for it with that deal...
This trip, we will be staying in the main bldg, so it is 515 per night/ value season/AAA discount.
To me, I view vacations as a top priority for my family...lasting memories, and taking advantage of being together with my kids at Disney while I have them!

This thread is depressing me  1 I thought we were fairly "well off" but there is no way I could ever pay some of these rates. If I did it would be the last time we would go... I wonder what we're doing wrong :confused3 ....

The most I paid was 229.00 GF AP rate with tax

Yeah, we could never pay some of these rates too! Most we paid was $225/GF which was a wedding discount rate back in 1996. We also got one night comp in an Octagon room in the GF main building and we're coming up on our 10th wedding anniversary and recently friends asked me if we are going to return to WDW for our 10th and stay in the same room and I told them I don't think I want to pay the rate for that room ($500-600?), especially with our 2 kids in tow....

Actually being from the West, it is alot more expensive for us to go to WDW than to DL, so the last trip was supposed to be our one and only trip out to Florida...that is why we splurged. This trip coming up was kinda a fluke, and probably will be our last trip, so we are splurging again. We will just continue our yearly trips to DL instead. I think that everyone has limits of what they will or will not pay for...nothing is "wrong" with anyone! :teeth:

we're paying about 550 (before tax) for 14th fl CR. This is our honeymoon and we are young and have the money, but I have had to pay 200 to 250 for a room in downtown chicago, and this will be much nicer than that.

North of $500/night (not sure of exact amount) for Yacht Club concierge lagoon view during peak season a couple years back. Well worth the money.

For DIS resort? > $700 per eve (which means WAY more than $700 per eve for the CR 14th floor CL 1BR suite!). :teeth:

Well I haven't actually paid these prices yet but we are looking at 5 days at AKL CL @ $460 a night and 4 nights at the GF for between $350 and $430, and 5 nights at the Pop @$77 a night. Oh yeah we need 2 rooms most nights also. Someone menioned about the In-Laws paying I totally understand that, if it wasn't for MIL we wouldn't be making this trip.

Honeymoon suite at GF (main lodge, concierge level) - $600/night for 6 nights.

Definitely worth it!

I couldn't help it. I had to jump in. We haven't gone yet, but I've booked the 1 bdrm suite at AKL which is running $714 rack rate then my CR 1 bdrm suite at $1,260 a night. Even contemplating Pres. Suite there at $2,186 a night at AKL for part of our stay. I don't have much of a chance at any discount with the rooms I have so rack rate it is, rack rate I will pay. Of course, if we were actually able to take more trips to WDW I would be leaning towards mods. :rotfl: Life is too short and you really can't take it with you! We still talk about our trip that we took last June. It hasn't gotten old and surprisingly no one rolls their eyes when the subject comes back up. ;) This trip we're paying for the in-laws to come with us. So I'm on the other end of the stick. I'm taking care of all their needs and recreation so they only need to bring souvenir money. MIL takes care of us and our son so I'm giving back the only way I know how. Take her on vacation and treat her like the queen she is! :teeth:

aww thats sweet :goodvibes

I guess I don't feel so bad - we almost always spend in the $300 plus range - mostly at Poly. But this is where we spend money - not on our house, not on clothes, no fancy cars. I would rather spend on a nice week every year or so at Disney where the whole family can be together and happy. :)

Around 400 per night CR tower room (rack rate). We were upgraded to concierge at check-in though.

:teeth: I can't wait to marry a rich doctor!!!!! :love2:

My parents would never even think about paying those prices unfortunately! How do you all afford it???

$267.00 per night (with a discount) at the WL (courtyard view) for 10 nights.

WHEW!!!!!!!! I am glad I am a DVC owner!!!!

I have paid 113/per night CBR--12 nights
ASM--49/ per night ASM

then I was smart--signed those DVC papers----oct 2003

The most ---- my one add-on night for my upcoming trip for 224 plus tax(250 w/ tax)---and that is for a friday night!!

Over Thanksgiving week we SPLURGED on the CR 14th floor MK view one bedroom suite. WHAT A BUST!!!! It was $1200something a night and it was a run down, awful mess. :guilty:

NEVER AGAIN!

I am still kicking myself that I felt the need to stay on the 14th floor.(because of the DIS  ) I have stayed CR 12th floor for years and always been happy. I could have gone on a few deluxe Disney trips for the money we spent on that one stay. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

BEWARE of those suites on the 14th floor. Until they are updated, they are extremely shabby. I have stayed in cleaner, better maintained, fresher Hampton Inns off the expressway.
