What is the Most Magical and Not So Magical thing at Walt Disney World?

Magical-stepping off the ME bus and entering the hotel knowing you have your whole vacation in front of you.

Not Magical-waiting for the ME bus in the lobby at the end of the vacation.

Most Magical:
1. Main Street Electrical Parade on our last trip. DD was 2.5. Her first parade. She was wearing her brand new DP Cinderella costume. We had a great spot right in front. Every single character recognized her as Cinderella. Tinkerbell even told her she loved her dress. Every character made a huge deal about her, and Mickey bowed to her. It was magical, and brought tears to my eyes.

2. My daughter falling asleep on my lap- after a long (last) day and evening at MK, as the boat pushed away to head back to WL, as Wishes started. I remember thinking "I hope I remember this moment for the rest of my life."

Not Magical
The new policy requiring 24 hr cancellation of all dining reservations. I get why they implemented it, but it makes it even more stressful traveling with small children because sh** happens.

Magical:

Most - Disney's MK at night with all of the lights everywhere, the Lion King show, the super attentiveness of the waitstaff at Jiko and CG as well as their efforts to make our anniversary/family reunion dinners special, and during the daytime parade watching my DD take part with her high school marching band!

Least - the super crowded late night bus ride back with aching feet but no seat, and of course...leaving the hotel for the 18 hour drive home as others are just arriving off the ME to begin their adventures

WISHES

Not so magical:
The throngs of people leaving WISHES!

So true about the crowds after wishes. I sit back for awhile and let the kingdom empty out to the point where I feel comfortable walking back to the bus stop.

In no particular order.

Magical:

Theming, in general.
Cinderella's Castle at night (lighting ceremony is a bonus).
Lion King, Nemo, and Beauty & Beast shows (a bit of Broadway for $$ of admission).
Hearing my 5 y.o. daughter scream in joy on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Joking that Test Track is like sitting through daddy's (my) driving - we have a convertible.
Having the bird take a $dollar from my hand at Flights of Wonder.
The joy at meeting any Character.
Osborne Lights (particularly when it snows).
Pirates of Caribbean & Haunted Mansion at night.
Eating a Mickey-shaped ice cream for breakfast.


Not Magical:

Declining food quality.
Better bus scheduling & communication (waiting 45 minutes is unconscionable and too frequent).
Fewer side-shows and impromptu character meetings.
Seemingly more visible dirt and repair needs.
Hollywood Studios in need of more stuff to do.
Update Disney Quest.
Have more rainy day solutions for young children.

Not So Magical

Blisters on the back of your heel! ouch
Monorail maintenance
People that sit right in the MIDDLE of a row and refuse to MOVE.

Not so Magical - gathering the family together in your resort's lobby waiting for your ride back to MCO and seeing people come in on their arrival day.

Ugh, that is the absolute WORST! I completely agree with you. Although, it is still kinda sweet seeing the excitement in others' eyes as their magical stay is just starting.
