What is the longest thread you ever started?

Yesterday the hot mammas of Dis and some *friends* had a fun time with a thread I started. I was so suprized how fast it grew and it was 15 pages before it's untimely death.

It was fun while it lasted.

So how about you? What is the longest thread you have ever started? What was it about. (for the most part, it tends to drift.)

In the inerest of not being a trouble maker I won't mention what mine was about. But some of you know, you know who you are.

I think it was about 15 pages before it died.

I noticed that thread was gone this morning. I wondered what happened? I can only remember one thread on the family board that last a while (not 15 pages though) about leaving my younger son (age 1) at home with grandma while taking my 4yo to Disney. I *think* I started a thread that was really long on the CB, but I can't remember what it was about.

I had a question about religion. That one was pretty long. Suprisingly it didn't get locked either.

Going OT for a minute....I was so bummed that the good thread from yesterday got closed!! I was looking forward to catching up on it this morning! It was a great thread!

Longest I can see, and still running, is a clipart help thread on the Tech board. I looked and see I have started some pretty darn long ones, mostly sad announcements of folks passing away or ills. Longest I see still around, of a 'regular' type, is a resort photo montage on the Resort board.

Yes, sadly it poofed, Silly Me was the last to post before it was locked (but I don't think Silly did it.) It was pretty funny while it lasted. The best part was while funny it wasn't really bad. I am afraid to use the word again though.

My longest thread was the ABC's of Harry Potter thread - I started when we were waiting for book 6 to be released. Got the idea from my kids - they were playing it in the car on the long drive to Grandma's one weekend. I get tickled that it is still going - I guess a lot of people like Harry.

DisneyPhd - was your thread regarding something "south of the border?" I came home last night to see what people said & couldn't find it. How else are we supposed to get this information? (I'm not gonna ask people who actually know me!

Yea, me too. I was just about to post when it got locked. I looked for it this moring, it is gone, like it never existed, but we know better.

Nope. It was a thread about Muslims taking offense to TV shows that portrayed them in a negative light.

And I had another one about how I hated the fact that Bernard Law got to say mass at the Pope's death. That was about 200 posts or so.

I think the longest thread I ever started was when I posted that my water had broken and I was going to give birth prematurely. The thread my DH started 2 days later announcing Jacob's birth was longer than that one, though.

I'm not sure, but I think mine was The Great DIS High School Reunion Search Thread. It got 379 posts (26 pages). A few people actually found classmates on that thread.

Hi Alice! I missed that one, I didn't get going until the offical new moms thread. I actually started one before the current new mom's thread Lissawynn started, but it died. Thank goodness the one we are on is still going strong.

It was last year and it was just a thread asking who was going to WDW in November (I think it was the Resorts board).

On the CB, I think my longest thread was about siggies. It only made it page 3, I believe. Guess I'm just not very interesting.
