Back in the 90's I used to drive the RV down from Iowa and stay at Fort Wilderness with 3 preschoolers for up to 5 weeks at a time. (DH would leave the business periodically and fly down for a couple days here and there...business was so busy at that time we saw him about as much down there as we would have at home anyway!)
Interesting note...at that time I had to check in and out every 2 week period because that was the limit anyone could stay in the campgrounds. I see now they offer "squatter specials" (lol) during some of the value season times.
i think someone said that they stayed 31 days at the GF in sugarloaf in one stay; that there was a limit and they couldn't stay in one room any longer than that.
One of my ds met a boy from guerensey england who told him they were staying in the poly conceirge for 3 weeks, gee I would hate to pay that bill, glad it was value season at least!!
Saw a motorhome at FW that had been there for about a year. They even had a mailbox set up outside their 'home' and we heard that the CM from the front desk brought them their mail.

Thank you for remembering Geek - yes, I stayed at GF in SugarLoaf for 31 days. They made me check saying that was the longest anyone was allowed to stay on the Platinum/Grand Plan.
It was a fabulous trip and best 10 Grand I ever spent (excluding souvenirs).
