Is there a limit to the amout of subscibsons you can have I am trying to keep it at 10 but finding that hard to do

If there's a limit, I haven't reached it yet - and I'm over 15,000 subscribed threads! My settings automatically subscribe me to any thread in which I post, plus there are a few to which I've subscribed over the years on my own, i.e. without posting.

Just out of curiosity, why would you wish to be subscribed to every thread in which you ever post? For instance, while this is an awesome thread, why would anyone subscribe to it? Now that you've given a definitive answer to the question, seems like subscribing to it wouldn't be necessary. (Of course, if you aren't subscribed, you might not know that I asked this question.)

Imagine all of the emails! :surfweb:

I default to subscribe if I post, but I can then unsubscribe to any thread that I no longer need. For example, I subscribed to the AKL thread when I wanted to stay there last year. Now I'm not staying there again, so I unsubscribed.

I always click on my name after posting, and select find all post by user. I'm subscribed to one thread from way back when I first joined "what candy do you buy in Epcot?" And every so often I get an email that some one else posted in it.
I know you don't have to get an email with subscribed threads, but I find it to be a waste of time for me.

You can set your subscriptions not to email when there are responses. I don't have any email notifications- I just go to the user CP tab and look to see what new posts there have been on my subscribed threads every time I sign on to the DIS.

That is the way I do it

Ditto. I opted out of the e-mail notification. I get enough e-mail as it is!

Yes, sure, some time when I have a chance, I should start cleaning out subscriptions to inactive threads; but just like MomofKatie (no relation, by the way), I can easily see what's happening on threads on which I've posted.
