what is the latest info on Legoland in FL ?

Thinking of where to go next year. DS would love to see Legoland, and a trip to San Diego is a thought. But we live in western PA, so Orlando is closer and we love Disney. Maybe I could tie in both if the new park would be open.

Probably way too early to announce any specific opening date but the company (Merlin) keeps saying that Legoland Florida will open in "late 2011" in its press releases. So I suppose that could mean pretty much anything from September on.

How very true.. and when they do usually (any themed or amusement park) do announce an opening date, it usually isn't doesn't happen... Look at Harry Potter... OUCH.. not that I would have gone to that grand opening..
I wonder if that will happen with Disney.. imagine the lines just to get to the park...
