What is the last thing you have noticed has gone up in price?

Jarred spaghetti sauce. It was usually $2.39, on sale for $1.69. Last week I noticed it had a sale shelf tag..10 cents off.. $3.29!

I don't have a specific example, but I really dislike when companies reduce the size/weight/whatever of the product while keeping the price the same. It feels deceptive to me, although I know the ounces or whatever are marked on the package. I feel like many companies have started doing this. Some even reduce the size AND raise the price!

Shrinkflation. And soon after they also raise the price.

My sewer bill. Water/sewer are billed together. Last year, I paid ~$135/month. Last month, it was $406. Water is $1.61 per 1000 gallons and Sewer is $2.35 per 1000 gallons, plus a service charge for sewer and other miscellaneous taxes.

The Sewer Authority was sold about 5 years ago and the new owner is charging usury fees for it.

my home gas bill, up to 35.00 just have ther service in my home with no gas being used

My local Fro Yo shop's "all you can fit in the cup and eat" Thursday dinner time deal (4-7pm - we go at 6:30pm)...I was almost thankful about the increase yesterday b/c I thought they'd get rid of the deal entirely. Instead, they increased the price 7.25%, which means my kids can still enjoy it once a month this summer...

Potato and snack chips.

Ice Cream. Admittedly this was at a high end store but still I am seeing ice cream for $7.49IMG_6973.jpeg

I would double check that. Over the past few months I noticed my water bill and water usage going up. After my using went from 2200 last year to 8200 this year I called the water company. Apparently 4 months ago they replaced water meters and mine got swapped with my neighbors. The difference was over 14,000 gallons of water over the past four month.

Soda. Used to buy 12 packs of soda. 4 cases for $10, that's when it was on sale. But it usually was 4 cases for $12. Now it's 3 cases for $15. Also, the 2 liter size used to be 99 cents. Now it's $3.50 each and on sale at $2.50 each.

On occasion I'd see 5 for $10 for 12 packs of soda. This week one grocery store has a sale of buy 2 get 3 free. Sounded good until I saw each one was $9.99. 😲

Mortgage rates!
6.5% currently here. Almost triple what my daughter is paying on her 30 year mortgage and almost HALF what my first mortgage was. So I guess people have forgotten the days of 16% mortgages.
