From a map of Epcot, and from any overhead view of Epcot, there is a very large, plain, windowless structure behind the United Kingdom area. The building is "J" shaped. There appears to be a path that leads up to it.

What is the purpose of that building. I don't recall it being part of any exhibit.

Just curious.

That is the shop that is just inside the international gateway.

This was a exihibit hall for the "International Gateway". It was used during the year 2000 celebration. I dont know what they are using it for now...

I knew it wasn't shops but thought it looked like a greenhouse. Thanks for clearing it up!

It's only used occasionally. The Millenium Villiage (?) was located there during the 2000 celebration, and I believe it's used for events - such as things during the F&W festival.

I wonder if it's a special events area.I tried to zoom in on the front but just can't get the right angle. Here's a live shot of it for someone that might know

Yes this building is used for special events. This is where Party for the Senses is held on Saturdays during Food & Wine.

We were there on Tuesday and that building was being used for a Teddy Bear and Doll exhibition.

That is where the Millenium Village was. Now they use it for special events, like the Mother's Day brunch.

There is a wood gate between UK and Canada, near the Off Kilter stage. Behind those gates is the building.

This is correct.

My DSIL was in WDW on convention a couple of years ago and they had an event in there.

It is used for special events; I was there for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's pasta party during the marathon weekend in January. It has possibly the largest banquet/ballroom I have ever been in.

On NYE they were using that building for overflow buffet meals for walk up guests.
