Sacramento to Big Spring, Texas in April. With stops in Lake Havasu, the Grand Canyon, Sedona and Roswell New Mexico.

We took the first Magic to the Med Disney cruise. It's about 4600 miles between Port Canaveral and Barcelona, but the actual cruising wasn't a direct line, so I expect it's a bit longer than that.

If we are counting that way Buzz Aldrin, David Scott, Charles Duke and Harrison Schmidt are the current winners. They are the four Moonwalkers still living.

We're big on road trips. We haven't been able to do a major one since 2021, but that last big one was about 6,500 miles from beginning to end. The farthest north we got was around Babb, MT. The farthest west we got was Twin Falls, ID. It was pretty much a big loop...Houston, TX area through parts of OK, KS, NE, IA, MN, SD, and ND before we headed west. Then it was MT, WY, ID, UT, AZ, and NM, before heading back into TX from the west to east. We were nearly 2,000 miles from home at our farthest point of the trip.

All tolled, 2943 miles, 45 hours of driving.
So Cal to the Bay Area, dropped off my family
Bay Area to Redding to see my ailing DGM (passed away a month later)
Back to Bay Area to pick up family
2 day drive to Crested Butte CO to pick up a dog and visit friends
2 day drive back to So Cal with dog.
Epic journey! Would do again - except the ailing DGM part.
