What is the first thing that you think of when your day dreaming about going Home?

BWVDee - ! You are putting words into my mouth! You have just described my perfect vacation experience!

All the wonderful amenities of BWV - the BoardWalk view, the fireworks at night, the sounds of the boats on the lake, the beautiful morning walks. I love it!!!! I crave it!!!!

And I will be there Wednesday night - although we are staying at OKW this time, we will be over there a lot at night. Love it, love it, love it.

I love after checking in at the guard post, you see the sign on your left that says, Welcome Home and then you cross the bridge and you see the car port valet area that says Boardwalk. The only thing that could make it better is if we arrive in the evening and Boardwalk is lit up. I love it.

I have considered trying another resort, but I am afraid that I won't have that "home" feeling. Does anyone else think like that or am I just a wacko???

Taking off my sunglasses in the breezeway at OKW. The music. The fans turning slowly in the lobby.

I read every post. They're great. Keep 'em coming.

The only thing I think about when going back to WDW is my precious boardwalk ;)

And the kicker is....it doesn't even matter if that's not where I'm staying  AND its not even my home resort--even better :teeth:

My first thought is, " I wonder which villa we will get this time"! Then I dream about that great "Welcome home" we get at the front gate, and as soon as we get checked in, we head for the bus and go over to Epcot for our first Illuminations of the stay! I find it hard to plan the rest of my trip until I know which villa we are in! I always hope for South Point, but I really like everywhere we have been.

niks,

That's great color saturation in your pic. How did you do it?

Great Thread! For me it's.....

Checking in at BCV then heading over to the International Gateway at Epcot. Meanandering to the France Pavilion for a sample of St. Estephe that we then sip on as we people watch.

I think about a lot of things. But some that come immediately to mind is the Boardwalk balcony! I just love sitting in one of the rockers and totally relaxing. Oh and I absolutely love walking down to the bakery early in the morning, when there's no one around except the cm's working on the lawn or in the gardens. I bring coffee up and drink it on the balcony while everyone is just waking up. There's a coffee maker in the unit, but this has become a "ritual" for me!
Then I'm always dreaming about being in the parks. I'm such a kid at heart!!! Walking down Main Street, strolling around the World Showcase...I could go on forever.

I wanna go now!!!!!!!!!!!!:wave2:

niks81 great pic, thank you for adding it to the post.

the boardwalk is one of our favorites, one of our highlights i dream about all the time on the boardwalk was dfamily, dsis and her 2 girls, & dd rented a bicycle for 6 but we squeezed 7 and a 5 year old and the cm told us we would probable go around the boardwalk about 3 times in 30 mins. well the cm was wrong we rode around 7 times, sneeking up on other bicycle renters and passing them by like if they were standing still, and cheering as we passed them like we just one the race, and a few tried to keep up, but didnt last. and when we got to the side with the bridge between the yc and bw dh and dsis got out to help by pushing us up that steep hill and then jumping on for the ride down, and if you ever rented a bicycle you now what im talking about,
the funny part was there was a magic show going on in front of the dueling pianos place and when the crowd seen us coming around they would stop and cheer us on to the next round of laps. we had so much fun and laughed and we all talk about it all the time:sunny: oh, i cant wait until we are all there again at christmas........

I put myself in the gentlemans place in the DCL tv advertisement that has been aired recently..........

8 Days of no work

:teeth:

swimming in the Wilderness Lodge pool while looking up at where we raised the flags!

The balcony of a Villa with a boardwalk view at the Boardwalk overlooking the Lagoon.

I think about the "Welcome Home" as we check in at OKW. Wondering which villa we'll get to stay in. And mostly, putting on what we call "Disney Legs" for getting around the parks quickly.
After reading everyone's comments, I'm getting so homesick!

But it's such a sweet homesickness.

The nice hot sun being on me, no stress, a big fat burger and a delicious sundae from Beaches and Cream.

Do you mean that one where the guy is so "busy" sleeping everywhere? If so, I love that commercial. And DH also thinks it's great-he's finally thinking a cruise might be OK if that's what it involves!
