What is the difference...

between Crocs Cayman style and Crocs Beach style? I currently have the Beach ones. I absolutely love them. I love them so much that since I bought them July 4th, I have worn them every single day. That being said, they are pretty worn out and I need a new pair before my trip at the end of September. I can not seem to find my size in the limited stores that sell them near me so I will have to order them online. Cayman and Beach look very similiar to me. Anyone have a preference? Can you tell me what the differences are if you have worn both? Thanks for your help...

I bought Caymans online, then read on the Crocs site that the Cayman is a thinner, lighter version of the Beach. I read that Crocs run a size too big, so bought a size W9 for my 9.5 feet, but the Caymans maybe run true to size? I think I should have got the W10, but am going to try to stretch out the width and ankle strap of the ones I have.

Thanks for explaining the difference. have you ever worn the Beach style? Do you prefer one over the other?

I have not, this is my first pair (and I have since been advised by experienced DISers not to buy Crocs on the internet, HA!) But I think I would probably fit the Beach well. Shoe people always say I'm a regular width (B), but some styles are far too tight for me, and I occasionally will buy a wide width of a narrow style for comfort.

The Crocs are *I think* supposed to fit very loosely, as in touching only the footbed when you stand still. My left foot touches at the top and sides, so that's why I'm going to try to stretch this pair out. I got them specifically to wear at Disneyland next month, so want to break them in and make sure they fit right so blisters aren't a problem on the trip.

Unfortunately this means I have no experience with the Beach v. Cayman to help you out. I would take the recommendation I've been getting, which would be to go to a store selling the different styles and trying them on to see which one fits best. Wish I'd done that, but I got a good deal on these and didn't want to pass it up.

I've got Beach, DD has Caymans - I like hers better because they're narrower. When I wear mine I feel like I have hobbit feet!

Are you saying that the Crocs wear out after only about 2 months of wear? WOW! Do you do an inordinate amount of walking each day?

I do walk alot each day. I wasn't kidding either when I said I have worn them every single day since then. I tried to wear another pair of shoes (not Crocs) on Sunday and after about 15 minutes my feet rebelled and I had the Crocs back on. Although the ones I bought in July are still comfortable, I did find them more comfortable when I first got them. I want to get 2 more pair for my trip to WDW so that I can switch off during the week. That's why ask what the difference is....I bought a pair of the Crocs Mary Janes and have only had them on for a few minutes in the house. I do not find them even close to being as comfortable as the Beach so I do not want to make the same mistake by buying a pair of the Cayman style.
