Also, the informertial for the little vac that sucks gunk out of your ear. Hearing the guy yell out in pain make me jump every time!

I really, really, hate the bear tp commercials. No, I don't know anyone who "enjoys the go!" That has to be THE STUPIDEST SLOGAN EVER!!!!

There are 2 right now that I absolutely cannot stand.

1. The new Haagen Dazs Gelato commercials. UGH!! Where all you see is mouths dragging out the words, "Stracciatella", "Limoncello", or "Cappuccino" OMG gross. I don't need to see the plaque on your teeth or the details on your tongue.

2. Ula Ula music Target ad. Oh that song gets on my very last nerve.

Oh yes! It has ruined one of my most favorite songs, "I'll Stand By You." Now all I can see is Flo when that song comes on. I guess that's exactly what Progressive intended, which makes me even more annoyed.

Watching "Secret life of Teenager" or what every its called and they have this commercial/psa and it just drives me nuts as it is false.

"100% of teen pregnancies are preventable"


Really so you can prevent rape and incest.

Hands down, the Juicy Fruit gum commercial, with the 3 guys in the inflated lifeboat. They start playing air guitar, ignoring the ship that is there to pick them up... Really annoying. I've stopped buying the product.

If only the people that do those anti-smoking ads understood that smokers already know the dangers of smoking. They are painfully aware of the consequences...they are a waste of TV time. They accomplish nothing. I remember a number of years ago a anti-smoking commercial that, to me, was probably the most effective one I ever saw and when I quit that is the one that I thought of the most when I was having pangs of addiction. It was a 30 second commercial that had no words until the end. It simply showed regular animals, cats, dogs, horses, ducks, bird, cows, sheep, etc., all with cigarettes hanging from their mouths. At the very end came the message..."It's not natural for you either". It was not condescending and snotty like the others had been, it just simply said something that made sense and didn't point at smokers like they were evil, stupid, nasty people. I don't know what happened to that ad...it was great.

There is a new one out that to me is the epitome of stupid. It has people on that explain how they lost toes, feet and legs due to smoking. What? How? Did they burn them off? Wouldn't there have to be some other more serious reason for that to happen and those people just happen to be smokers as well? Come on, if you are going to sell an idea at least make it believable.

I remember that 1 too. I always wondered the same thing: What else was wrong with them? But the anti-smoking commercial that makes me want to jump through the screen is the woman who quit because she got wrinkles on her face All the possible long term and fatal consequences had no effect on you. BUT the minute you see wrinkles on your face you go "It must be the smoking" :facepalm:

Yeah, thats really gonna make Dh quit the cancer sticks

Didn't read the whole thread but I am so glad I already saw Flo from Progressive mentioned. I thought I was the only one left going: and by these annoying commercials. haha.

I don't find the Gecko to be much better. I liked the old school Geico commercials, before the gecko.

I don't mind Flo...some of them are quite humorous. But one that causes my blood pressure to rise is the AFLAC Duck in rehab from injuries. Just how dumb can one commercial get? Is there no limit? Maybe it is the number of times that they show it. Even if it were cute in the beginning about the 30th time you've seen it in a two hours time span...it is throw something at the TV time.

TIVO is our friend. I get a fiendish delight in fast-forwarding through all the commercials. It's a real time saver, when you figure an hour-long program wastes 20 minutes with commercials.

On the rare occasion we're watching in real-time, I hit the mute button whenever a commercial comes on. Gotta love technology.

The mom with the Nutella trying to get her kids to eat breakfast. WOMAN YOU DO NOT SPREAD NUTELLA ON THINGS, YOU EAT IT OUT OF THE JAR. GET. IT. RIGHT.

I am shocked that no one has mentioned the Wendy's lady yet. I cannot stand that woman, seriously annoying. My favorite one to hate is the one where she is at the playground talking to the moms, I would be like why is this woman with no children siting here at the playground critizing what I'm eating, lol.
