What is the commercial that you find the most annoying and why?

Any commercial that has a door bell ringing in it because my dog goes crazy barking every time. :sad2:

:lmao: Yup, my dog goes nuts! And he wont stop barking until I open the shutters and show him that there's really nobody at the door! Lol. :rotfl2:

It's a regional thing but the "Stronger than the Storm" commercial here in NJ that are to let people know we are open for business at the Jersey Shore. OMG I want to stick knitting needles in my ears when that comes one. It is the most annoying song ever.

HAHAHA!!! I live at the "Jersey Shore" and I hate these commercials with a passion...

Don't taunt Mother Nature. You'll piss her off, and she will return with a vengance ; "stronger than WHAT???":furious:

Oh, and another one I hate is a Target commercial where it sounds like they are singing something in Spanish. If it's not Spanish it's jibberish or something, I don't understand it, and the whole tune/beat is sorta creepy as in bad-porn music creepy. LOL

The rest of the lyrics are in Spanish .. And IMHO I don't see any bad-porn on the music..:confused3.

I can't stand the 76 (gas station) honkaholism commercial. It always comes on during the early morning newscast and is about 10 times louder then the program. Yep, just what I want to hear when I first wake up, someone laying on their car horn :rolleyes1

There was also a Target commercial that ran either last holiday season or the one before for Black Friday. It showed the woman going through the store grabbing deals, including taking something out of someone else's cart. Um yeah, nice message to send...that it is OK to take things from other people,

I've got a couple at this time.

First, I'll admit I've been watch way too much Hulu lately, but I'm really sick of the Zesty Italian Dressing guy. He's good looking, but for me there's a real creep factor there. I miss the Old Spice guy.

The other is a local commercial (I think) for a clinic that does hormone replacement therapy. A patient talks about all the positive results from her treatment, and proceeds to say "I now drive my husband crazy for sex!" I really don't need to hear about your sex life at 7:30am while drinking my morning coffee.

I hate hate HATE that Haribo commercial with the little kids playing the "CEO" and his subservient female workers..... :sad2: Yes, it's 1955 and that's the way it IS in corporate America little girls so get ready for it!! :rolleyes1

Thought of another one....

The animal neglect commercial. It is just so sad, I can't watch.

One night of our 2008 trip I was in bed in the villa watching Cartoon Network and one of those adverts came on. Started crying and had to leave the room until it was over.

In the UK we have tons of super annoying adverts. One is for Tena Lady with a woman I've dubbed "Pee-My-Pants Paula" because she always somehow manages to expose her purple panties and laughs when she um..has a accident. The song? My Heart Went Oops.

Another one I hated was for...bikini line razors. I'm not even going to start on the visuals as this is a family friendly forum, but let's just say a certain type of plant being trimmed came into it.

I've always wondered why radio commercials are allowed to use the sounds of sirens. I swear I'm going to cause an accident as I swivel my head around all over looking for the ambulance and try to pull over. I think there's a country so g with police sirens in it too. Annoying and dangerous!

Can't stand the V8 commercial where the mom talks in a sing songy baby voice to the baby in the stroller. "Mommy's going to have some French fries. Yes she is! Yes she is!" The baby smacks Mommy in the head because Mommy could have had a V8. I'd like to smack the Mommy too, but not because of V8.

Exactly what I am thinking... somebody smack the woman up-side the head just because she is so annoying!! :rotfl2:

Okay, here is mine....

Right now it is the English muffin with the little girl just gazing and staring and salivating and like feeling-it-up, like it is some kind of orgasmic experience... Helllo... Ummmm... It's FOOD.... It's just a freakin' piece of bread.

And, how long has that been out, now. They keep bringing it back... I just won't die.

And the same goes for the commercial with the woman who makes the baked chicken with mayo, and her and her teenaged son are doing the same thing.. just salivating and exchanging 'knowing glances' as they rapturously enjoy the chicken.

Now, don't get me wrong... I really like some of the racy Hardee's commercials... And, for example, woman licking every trace of yogurt off the spoon "It's SO good".... I am not even bothered by the Italian Dressing 'ZESTY' commercial.

But, any commercial with children and those adult undertones kinda bothers me... and the one with the mother and son... O.... M.... G....
Can we say EWWWWWWW!!!!! :crazy2:

Aw, I love those ones. They make me cry. :rotfl2: I think it's a good slogan too! Very Joisey-tough. :)

The commercial that makes me crazy is for Perrier, I think. Basically a woman is running through a melting world in search of a cooling beverage while someone skins a cat for the soundtrack. Or maybe it's a woman singing, but you get my point. Drives me bonkers.

I agree with a lot of those already mentioned, but I've got an older one that drove me mad and thankfully I don't have to see much anymore.....

WEEEEEEEEEEEEE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Someone slaughter that pig and shut it up!!!

Yes, yes, yes! I didn't mind the first one riding in the carpool, but the second on sled? or whatever that was, made me hunger for bacon and I wanted it now. :rotfl:

I can't handle the commercial of people dying of emphysema who can hardly breathe. My dogs also go nuts when they hear the strangled breathing.

If only the people that do those anti-smoking ads understood that smokers already know the dangers of smoking. They are painfully aware of the consequences...they are a waste of TV time. They accomplish nothing. I remember a number of years ago a anti-smoking commercial that, to me, was probably the most effective one I ever saw and when I quit that is the one that I thought of the most when I was having pangs of addiction. It was a 30 second commercial that had no words until the end. It simply showed regular animals, cats, dogs, horses, ducks, bird, cows, sheep, etc., all with cigarettes hanging from their mouths. At the very end came the message..."It's not natural for you either". It was not condescending and snotty like the others had been, it just simply said something that made sense and didn't point at smokers like they were evil, stupid, nasty people. I don't know what happened to that ad...it was great.

There is a new one out that to me is the epitome of stupid. It has people on that explain how they lost toes, feet and legs due to smoking. What? How? Did they burn them off? Wouldn't there have to be some other more serious reason for that to happen and those people just happen to be smokers as well? Come on, if you are going to sell an idea at least make it believable.

Nothing worse than watching in mixed company and a Viagra or Cialis commercial comes on discussing what you need to do for an erection lasting more than four hours. I hate that.

If I had one that lasted that long I'd be calling the Enquirer.:lmao: That story has got to be worth something...who needs a doctor. :thumbsup2

Hands down the commercial that bothers me the most is the Norelco shaver commercial with a jerk shaving parts of his body and recites progressively "I'd date me" type of phrases until he ends up with "I'd (blank) me". Promise you I will never purchase anything made by that company, ever.

The worst hands down....

The Hopper by DISH.

Do we really need to see a bunch of lazy people watching tv all over the place??

The capper is grandpa on the toilet screaming " " SHUT UP, I Am trying to watch TV...." Or in the basement with a fishing net yelling for beer to be thrown down there so he doesn't have to get up.

Its everything wrong with USA......

I find the NJ "Stronger Than the Storm" commercials annoying because of the basis of the commercial. While I appreciate that the Jersey Shore is recovering and acknowledge that the revenue from tourism is important to the state, there are so many people struggling still to have a safe/ semi-permanent place to live that I feel like the commercials are a slap in the face.

On a lighter note, I hate being in the room with my parents or grandma especially when those Viagra/Cialis commercials come on. I kinda find anything in the world to pay attention to other than the TV lmao.

I love the AT&T commercials. My sister and I quote them on a daily basis. But you had a little and you just want more!

FLO from Progressive! :)

STUPID

YES! YES! YES! Especially that one with the announcer saying let's get ready to rumble and it goes on and on and on. I have to mute it as I am afraid if I don't I may through something at the tv and break it.

Thought of another one....

The animal neglect commercial. It is just so sad, I can't watch.

The minute I hear Sarah McLachlan or Willie Nelson singing, I yell "Change the channel!" I cannot handle those commercials.

The one that annoys me most now is the McDonald's iced coffee commercial with people auditioning "in their best New England accent" and mangling it horribly. Also, in the 37 years that I've lived in NE, I've only run into 2 or 3 people with a "New England accent." Nobody I know speaks that way!

The one that annoyed me in the past that I don't see anymore was for a feminine product with the tagline "Hail to the V" :crazy2:

I hate the one for (I think) Aquafresh. Shows a bunch of people brushing their teeth and one guy has a whole mouth full of white foam. Ugh makes me sick!

Also the one for Crest Pro where they keep showing closeups of their teeth to the camera.

I must have an issue with toothpaste ads lol.
