I tried to find a thread on this but, could not find a current one...so here we go. I hear sooo many mixed reviews about 'Ohana! Some people LOVE it and others (like my sister) say she felt like they throw food at you, it is not so good, and it is just not worth the time.

Why is it so hard to get an ADR? I got one but, barely and now I think I should cancel it....

Who out there loves it and who hates it???

You talking breakfast or dinner?

I liked it. Kids liked it. DH loved it (all you can eat type of guy lol). I enjoyed our dinner here. The kids loved the activities and lively atmosphere. The salad was awesome and I crave it all the time as well as the potstickers :) And the dessert was incredibly YUMMY!

I guess if I had to choose a con it would be that it is a LOT of food. But who can complain about that? I don't remember getting my food "thrown" at me either LOL. Well, not by the servers :rotfl:

I say keep your ressie and decide for yourself! :goodvibes

We love it. Potstickers and the noodles are my fave. My husband's fave was all the meat. You can not go wrong at Ohana in my opinion :)

We ate there last year and have reservations this year to eat there again. My DH loved it last year and he would eat there every evening of our trip this year if I could have gotten that many reservations for it. I loved it as well as my oldest DD, now my youngest DD who is a very picky eater and doesn't care to much for meat other than chicken nuggets didn't care to much for it and we ended up having to ask if she could get the childs menu, which they happily did for her and made her very happy...

We love it...going again in Novemember. I think you should at least try it once.

We thought the food was great and love that they bring it all out to you. Seriously I would go just for the bread pudding! I was so stuffed last year but I made myself eat some because it's just that good!

Mmmmm... those potstickers; salad; steak; shrimp & dessert! :cloud9: Yes, very yummy indeed.

We had a party of 8 - 3 adults, 2-14 year olds, & 3 kids under 10. We all really liked it. DS and DB#1 were selected by, as DB#1 called her, "the Hawaiian Charro" to hold the limbo stick and I have pictures to prove it! :yay: :rolleyes1 :lmao: :thumbsup2

It was definitely a fun time. We all enjoyed the atmosphere and food. I don't consider it a "must do" for every trip but I will go again sometime.

1. Tasty Food- we love the meat and the noodles and the wings and the dessert.

2. Served Fast- we don't have to wait around to be served; food comes quickly. This is especially important when dining with young children.

3. Cool Atmosphere- the Polynesian resort is beautiful and you can see the Castle while eating at Ohana.

It's a fun little restaurant. For us it's not a must do but we have enjoyed all of our meals there.

Love this place!! We have ressies there for Oct.22nd.

I think people post negative reviews so there will be openings when they want an ADR!! ;) I have nothing negative to say about Ohanas...in fact it's the only place that we have to visit every time we go to the world....it's tradition!

We love it. Will be going back in Dec. I enjoy all the food but the bread pudding is to die for. You should try it.

we go each trip, last trip they serenaded the dh and I (our 25th Anniversary Celebration) and brought us a special cupcake..Sweet, but we thought it (visit) was just OKAY this visit......
My shrimp was RAW, and I mean Not cooked as in totally inedible and awful....Our waitress was either overworked or did not care to really service the table as they usually do.......Food did not come to us as is typical, instead I felt like we had to ask over and over......the dh and ds LOVE the wings :rotfl2: I like the dumplings...so, If I did not get the ADR, I would not be too upset, now if you said LeCellier, I would have Cried NOT to get it...:rotfl2: My favorite YUMMY dinner this last visit...really excellent!!

DH and I really enjoy it! They do bring you a lot of food at once but all you have to do is take your time and don't allow the waitstaff to set your pace. Take your time and enjoy the salad and appetizers. My favorites are the salad, potstickers, noodles and the pork. DH really enjoys the salad, potstickers, chicken wings and the beef. YUMMY!!!

We're looking forward to our upcoming ressie. I'm not a big fan of the Brazilian racks of meat, but I do very much enjoy the salad and the chicken wings. I'm planning on making those two things the focus of my dinner next month! :lovestruc

I totally hate you now....I am starving, and you post one of my favorite meals!!! :rotfl: Where's the banana foster?!:banana::banana::banana:

I am so jealous! I have been calling for 6 weeks trying to get ressies for Ohana's on any night from Oct 16-22!!! The only available seating is a 9:45pm. Way too late for us rope drop hitting, kid toting fools!

I booked right the 180 day mark!! We are only in the "World" for one night before our 7 day cruise so I knew dinner had to be at Ohana!! Can't wait! :woohoo:

My girlfriend and I actually really don't like 'Ohana. I'll give it that the shrimp and dessert are excellent, but that is as far as the positives go for us.

-The steak and bird (can't remember if it was chicken or turkey) were both VERY dry, even after trying to get it to soak in any of the sauces.
-The noodles and potstickers tasted like anything I can get in the frozen food section of any supermarket.
-The service was absolutely awful, which I thought maybe it was just a bad night but I have read many other people with the same experience. Our waiter was MIA, I ordered a beer which never showed up and then was charged for, the chef that came out to talk to my girlfriend about her food allergies and her dessert options had to clear off our table because he didn't know where our waiter was, when we did see the waiter all he would say is how he has too many tables, he never brought us bread, etc etc etc. Just awful.
-I understand that the activities and such are nice for the kids, however, they really need to change some of them. I was not too fond of getting hit in the foot with coconuts while trying to eat my meal.

It was worth a try, but we won't be going back anytime soon.
