What is the best way to pay for the DVC Tanzanian Safari?

At some point, my family and I would love to take the Tanzanian safari DVC offers. But it is about 493 points per person, and we are a family of 3. Even if we saved up 3 years worth of points, (we have 160 points) it wouldn't even cover half of the trip. So clearly we will have to use cash to pay for part of it. Those of you who have taken the safari trip or are thinking about taking it, what is the best way to pay for it? Should we use a combination of points and cash? Or buy enough points to cover half or all of the trip? Thanks!
