What is the best way to lose at least 10 lbs in 15 days? Seriously.

Saltines, Powerade, and chicken soup. That's what I ate when I had a stomach problem, and the weight poured off.

along with a good workout routine but not everyday! The muscles need to rest a day before you tax them again!

I joined a gym 3 years ago and 'still' have flabby under-arms! Weights help..but it's a tough spot! Don't sweat it though..look around at some other arms...not many are perfect!

More important as we get older is staying as fit and healthy as we can albeit maybe a 'little' heavier than we would like!!

Good luck...:D

Update on Day 1: two eggs this morning. two boca burgers for lunch (no buns) and cashews. I am freakin' starving!! ugh... This is where my "other" half kicks in and starts talking to me. "You need to eat" "Screw all those skinny people!" "I've had three children so I can't look 25 again" "I can start again tomorrow"... etc... you know that evil side, right?

I will update before bed since noon til bedtime is my worst snacking time (could it be because I am home with the kids?).

Thanks for all the help and stories... keep them coming.

Not drinking soda anymore should help a lot on its own! I had to give it up last year for medical purposes, and I've lost (and keep off) about 5 pounds due to that. Doesnt sound like much, but it makes a difference! :)

Drink lots of water- a lot of time when you think you're hungry, its actually mild dehydration. Who knew? ;)

Also, not eating red meat does wonders for me. Try to find something low-fat to snack on, because feeling hungry all the time is no fun at all! I love animal crackers (especially with some kind of fruity yogurt), and soynuts (hickory smoked are the best!). If your grocery store has an organic/healthy section, you might be able to find some really good snacks you've never seen before (Maple vanilla pumpkin seeds are better than candy, I say! ;) )

Usually when I'm at wdw, I walk around so much that I can eat whatever I want to there, and still lose weight. I dont think I could ever be on a "diet" on vacation! The strawberry Minnie bars have no fat and only like 100 calories, btw, and those are great!

Good luck with your goal!

Karen, don't fall into the trap of not eating enough. If you body is telling you to eat something and you fell hungry, you should eat. I eat every 2-3 hours. Prepare healthy snacks to eat during the day. Fruit, protein shakes or bars (watch out for high sugar content), low fat cottage cheese all work. Your body needs a certain amount of calories to keep itself functioning. This called your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). Based on the stats you gave in your first post, you need around 1500 calories just to keep normal body functions (breathing, heart beating, etc.) running.

A good place to keep track of all the calories taken in and calories burned is Fitday .

Apple Cinnamon Cheerios 1 Karen 0 :(

The sweets won. Ugh. So much for my low carb day. Why can't I just not worry about food. Every night before I fall asleep I plan on how to diet the next day or what I will/will not eat. I am completely jealous of my friend who only eats one meal a day. I wish I was that strong. :(

I checked out Curves for Women today but they don't have a child care room. That would make it pretty easy for me. I've done other gyms but I'm not into the "gym" scene, if you know what I mean.

Thanks for listening everyone.
