Hi
Can anyone offer me any advice about the best way to get from CDG to Sequoia Lodge.
Our flight to Orly has just been cancelled :furious: and I have had to book from a different airport which is now going to CDG(Been having a bit of a crisis for the last few hours trying to sort it out and we aren't going until January!!) :surfweb:
As there will be 5 adults and 3 children, we had originally planned to use a private shuttle service.
I have heard about the direct train from CDG and had a look at the timetable, but couldn't see how much it cost. Has anyone any ideas of the fares?
The VEA won't be possible as we need to leave the hotel around 7am and I don't think they start until 8.
Never flown before but it is already causing me loads of stress. I dread to think what'll happen if they cancel this flight too!!!!!

Sorry for the rambling and thanks in advance for any help. Pam :goodvibes

Don't worry Pam :) You can still use a private shuttle service from CDG - and probably the same company. The TGV would cost from £11 per adult (I don't know how much the child fares are) each way - so I think it would still make more sense to book the private shuttle, and be far less of a hassle than the train.

Who are you flying with? If I know the name of the airline, I call tell you which terminal you'll be using, and then you can study the maps!!

Hi Becky

We are now flying with bmibaby and will be arriving and departing from terminal 1.
Thanks for your help.
:thumbsup2

If you've not already seen them, links to maps of the various CDG terminals can be found in this thread. :)

Hi,

There was 8 of us on our last trip to DLP in May, flew in/out of Terminal 3 and used www.rstransports.com for a private taxi/shuttle.

Good service and the price was cheaper than us all getting VEA, would use them again.

Cheers
John

Given your early return private shuttle would seem the best way to go.
I'm sure it will all work out fine :goodvibes

Hi Pam

I can second John's recommendation of rstransports :thumbsup2 - used them last year, and they were excellent. Plan to use them again next year.

We have had annual passports to DLP.

The main options from CDG are the TGV, VEA bus, taxi, shuttle, or private transport.

What would you suggest to the following:

We are arriving at Sunday 9:25pm at CDG and I asked Disney when the last bus starts at CDG and they said at 9:30pm. And when I said that it will take some time to get your luggage and so on he said: "But I'm sure you will catch the 9:30 bus?"

What did you thing about that??? We are very doubtfull about that!

I don't think there is any way you could arrive at CDG at 9.25 and catch the VEA at 9.30!!!

Agreed. I doubt you would have made it into the central hub.

Thanks for this. I have just been considering taking my 2 girls to DLP next May while Hubby is away. He didn't like the idea of me going 'alone' as I always get lost. (We have been to DLP twice and got lost on both occasions that was very stressful with the language barrier) so I was considering taking a taxi, but if I can pre-book a private taxi , I am sure that would be easy enough, and take the weight off his mind. I am assuming someone meets you at arrivals?

Hi Janine

We used rtransports last March and yes, the driver will be waiting in the arrivals hall for you with your name held up on a card. It couldn't be simpler or more convenient. They only take cash and will expect just over half the cost after dropping you off, the remainder to be paid after the return trip. Hope this is of help.

PS Love the wedding photo :goodvibes

Did you give the driver a tip as well? If so, how much is reasonable?

The charge for 2 adults and 1 child last March was E70 each way, but they charged E130 for the return trip so we left each driver E5. Haven't a clue if this was enough or not, but the drivers seemed happy. Have enquired with them for next March and they'll be charging the full E140.
