What is the best time to make reservation for Finnegan's and Mythos?

We are very anxious to do Universal Parks for Harry Potter.

I originally thought to do lunch for both Finnegan's and Mythos (2 separate days) but now I'm thinking it might interfere with our time at Harry Potter lands. We want to do much as we can in Harry Potter lands since it'll be first time for us. Was thinking of doing Leaky Cauldron and Three Broomsticks for dinner.

What do you all think? What time will be the best time to do Finnegan's and Mythos? Need to make reservation for April 12 and April 13.

Separately factors I need to consider:

1. If we do Finnegan's for dinner, is dinner price same as lunch or higher?
2. Should be skip Finnegan's since seat down meal might take too long and we are anxious to do Harry Potter land?
3. Is Finnegan's food worth the time?
4. I noticed Mythos closes at 5 pm (?). I know for sure I want to do Mythos since it'll be my birthday celebration. What is the best time to make reservation for Mythos?

Thank you

I've only had lunch at both of them. Didn't have a reservation for Finnegan's just walked up and were seated. Probably around 12:30-1 or so in early December. At Mythos, we ate around 11:30 and did have reservations and were seated right away too. I like both places.

The lunch and dinner menus were the same
Also no change in prices

I would skip Finnegans.......but I'm biased as I don't like it at all. Plenty of folks eat there and enjoy it.

No rush to make reservations for Mythos.......some folks make reservations same day, some a few days out......plenty of time. But you can make them 30 days out as it is a must do place for you. We really like Mythos......excellent food and lovely place to eat.

We love Finnegans and eat there on every trip. The food has been consistently great, the service excellent, and we love the atmopshere. They have live entertainment that's surprisingly good, too, and adds a nice touch to the overall experience.

Mythos, to be honest, is the one WE would skip. We much prefer Confisco at IOA over Mythos. The decor/theming of Mythos is very unique but we the food was much better at Confisco.

Alice, have a look through this read. There is a lot of info on there about all food choices in Universal parks, Citywalk and the hotels.

First page has a link to menu`s from all these places. Opinions will always vary from person to person, what one experiences someone else won`t.......that`s the joy of Universal.....something for everyone!!

If you want a dining place where you can hear people talk to you , don't go to finnegans when the folk singer is there
It's loud and carries from the bar section to the open room next to it

There has been a past thread about some of the foods at both places that have missed the mark

Everyone has a favorite place to eat
You will get a wide range of opinions here

For me, there are only certain things at both places I will order
I go to them both on my visits mainly to spend time with friends that want to eat there
