Hi!

So I'm going to try with all my heart to get a reservation at CRT for my daughter's 6th birthday. It's a surprise (the whole Birthday Trip will be)!

What I'm not so sure of is when (what time of day/night) should I go? Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner??? I was thinking dinner time and then we could try to hit the fireworks... how awesome would that be for a birthday! But then I found out there is a good chance she won't see any characters if we go at lunch or dinner (just Cinderella when we get her pictures taken)?

I just want this to be the best day because we're not sure when we'll be able to go back again. If anyone has any other suggestions or ideas to help with celebrating Lizzy Grace's birthday please by all means let me know! This is as far as I've gotten .... not very far lol!

We got to see all the characters during our dinner at CRT. We had the dinner booked for 7:00PM and stayed for an hour and a half, including getting our pictures taken with Cinderella before going up to the dining room.

When we left (around 8:40), we got to see the electric parade and then the fireworks. I've heard the view of the fireworks from inside the castle isn't that great.

princesses there at every meal now. They've been at breakfast and lunch for quite awhile and it's approaching two years for dinner.

We've been doing lunch. That's mainly because the princesses weren't at dinner when we started.

I think any of the meals would work for a six year old. My daughter was just shy of six on her last trip and that was the best of our three visits for her. We have never done breakfast because we are not big breakfast people. (We do CM late in the morning.) I was seriously looking at dinner for the upcoming trip. I'm having a hard time justifying it with recent change in menu. The items don't seem to warrant the price premium over lunch when I'm satisfied with the lunch menu.

We have booked BBB about 90 minutes ahead of our ADR time. That allows our daughter to show off and play a little without getting too messy. She then has some time to play some more after lunch and before we head back to the resort for a break. (We go in June. A midday break is a must.)

We too are celebrating my DD5's 6th Birthday during our December trip at Disney. Here are our plans for her actual birthday: Breakfast at CRT followed by an appointment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. The day will be spent at the MK and then we have ADRs at the Cali Grill for dinner.

We ate at CRT for breakfast a few years ago and it was amazing to enter the gates, walk up Main Street and head right to the castle. I don't rate the food to be the best but being inside the castle more than makes up for it IMO. I had read such spotty reviews on the food that I figured breakfast would be safe. And it was, as well as less expensive than lunch or dinner. So that is what we will do again this time and then we will just pop right downstairs to her BBB appointment. I made our dinner ADRs during a time that we could see Wishes from the CG"s observation deck.

Have a fabulous time!!!

We did an early breakfast when the girls were little, it was soo fun to walk down Main Street when it was empty! :)

Any meal you choose will be a great time!! :)

Thanks so much to everyone that answered me!!!! I really appreciate it. Everyone helped in making our plans for the day! BBB ..then CRT...MK...and off to O'Hana's for dinner. I can't wait!

That's a great plan! We did dinner at Ohana on our last trip and we were able to see Wishes from our table during dinner. It was one of the many hilights of that trip. We would have returned during this upcoming trip but there are so many places we still haven't tried yet so we are skipping it. But I am kinda bummed about that....I hope you have a fabulous time and I hope your DD has an amazing birthday!!:goodvibes
