we are planning a trip with a good friend of ours and his two little ones, and so i guess i will be the planner and i have read that november is a good time to go before thanksgiving. Which week should we plan to go (or should we plan to go before that in the fall?) The girls will be in school but we are ok with pulling them out so any time would work.

Thanks so much!

:) Crowds are most minimal from the first of Nov until the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving crowds start then and go until the Sunday following. Then the end of November, first of December are better crowds.

:)DH and I have been the end of Oct, first of Nov the last two years (for Halloween). We have also been the first and second week of Nov and the first and second week of Dec. So the fall is good just avoid the Holidays. Halloween is busy in the MK due to the parties. if you are interested in going to MNSSHP. The last party is usually 11/1--so you can do it then if interested. On 11/2 Christmas begins to appear.

I was there this past year, the week after Thanksgiving (Nov 26th-Dec 4th). That first weekend was a little busy, but starting on Monday I swear the parks were almost empty (rode rides over and over without even having to get off in the early mornings). I usually go the second week of Dec, sometimes in mid January, went back this year the first week of Feb, always go the first or second week of May, a week sometime in Sept, and have been the first and second weeks of Oct. Although usually my Sept trips are the least crowded, this time there were fewer crowds Nov 26th-Dec 4th. It was the least crowded I have ever seen the parks and I go 4-6 times a year.

my mom and i have been to WDW in November 2 years in a row.
We went the week BEFORE thanksgiving. It was still a bit packed cuz of the free dining, but it was nothing like summer. Some rides stated 5 minute waits even though it felt more like 2-3 minutes. :)

not to be confusing but a lot of people say jersey week (2nd week of november is not packed).

We love going the week after Thanksgiving. The weather is great and the crowds are minimal. We are going again this year.

Another vote for the week after Thanksgiving. We have gone during other times but I loved this week the best. There is christmas music playing everywhere, crowds are very low and weather is cool, but not cold. It really is a magical time to visit WDW.

We are planning on attending oct 31 thru nov 6, 2012 but concerned after hearing about jersey week. Anyone attended during that time period? Thanks!

I love the week after Thanksgiving. That Monday is usually the start of value season which made me initially choose that week in 2005 (less expensive room/package rates). I have been going ONLY then since 2005. Crowds are low, weather is good (not hot, not cold), rarely rainy. The Christmas decorations are up. Downside - Because of the cooler weather, one of the water parks is closed at this time. If that is your thing, you might want to go a bit earlier for warmer weather.

Subscribing to this thread! I am planning a November 2013 trip so would love to hear everyone's November experiences!

My husband just got a new job so no vacation time this year!!!:sad1: So I was thinking maybe Thanksgiving weekend. How bad is it? Do they have the Christmas party yet?

We are planning on going the day after Thanksgiving and staying until the Wed after. We have only stayed during the summer before. This is our first Christmas experience in Disney! Any tips or advise for this time of year? This will be our 4th trip to WDW. We are normally sweating in 120 degree whether and fighting large crowds in July at WDW!

This is my very first post! :cool1:
