We are staying at Wilderness Lodge..... Spending the day at Animal Kingdom... What should we do in the evening to end our vacation great?!

Any ideas?

Chip and dale campfire at FW? Watch the fireworks and electrical pageant from the WL beach?

for me it would depend on how early I was leaving the next day...early flight/trip? I would pop popcorn and watch a Disney movie, LOL. I actually remember being THRILLED watching Disney movies AT Disney as a kid, because it was such a treat, pre-VCR and all that...

Ride the monorail
Go for a night swim
Go down to a TS restaurant LATE for dessert only
buy a fun souvenir at the hotel gift shop (I also remember the Contemporary gift shop from the age of like 6 or 7 - it's amazing what sticks with you)
If you are a scrapbooker type, do a quick trip log / diary of what you did what days, so you can revisit / memory book later
Electrical Water pageant

I guess these are kind of tame...but for my last night I'm not sure I'd have the energy for much else!

We just got back from WL, we had PH so we did like your doing went to Ak but went to Mk for fireworks after that. If you don't have PH i would ride the boat to MK and hop the monorail to GF watch the Fireworks from across the lake, and take monorail back to MK take the boat back to WL

Save one of your favorite restaurants for your last nights meal. If you don't have kids Jelly Rolls on the Boardwalk is fantastic and it would make some great last night memories.

:wizard: Our last night we always do a nice dinner at either one of the monorail resorts or Epcot so we can take the monorail over to MK to see Wishes for the last time...

Leave AK for Epcot and a late night dinner reservation that will go to park close. Eat while Illuminations is going and after the throng of people hit the gate. Then take a leisurely stroll around the world showcase taking some tome to take pictures with no crowds. My family did this once and it is a favorite memory of ours. We have a few awesome pictures to go alon with it as well.

This year on our last night we ate at BOG, then watched the MSEP, then Wishes and the castle light show (with a couple of rides thrown in after dinner). Left MK with a big smile on our faces.

Our last day we eating an early breakfast at crystal palace, rides, relax and resort then back to MK for an early 5 pm dinner at BOG and then the wishes dessert party to end the night.
We usually end our trips at magic kingdom or Epcot with an early dinner, rides and fireworks ...

LOL these are my exact same plans. 8 a.m. Crystal Palace, rides, resort time, then back at 4:45 for BOG and 9 p.m. Wishes dessert party.

We always close down MK on our last night. Right before closing, we get in line for ice cream at the Plaza ice cream parlor. Then we grab a table outside and enjoy our dessert while just soaking up the atmosphere as the park clears out, watching the lights change against the castle.

We usually either do this ^^ or go with a "no plans" night and do whatever we want in the moment. Usually I like to leave it open so that we can hit some favorites, or do rides we ran out of time for earlier in the week, etc.

We always end our trip at MK - usually shopping on Main street - grab dessert on Main street and sit and enjoy the end of the night. This year we are doing the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage. We can't wait. Will probably go to MK right after to end the night - it is open until late that night.

That is fun idea. I think I will add this to my pay bag of tricks.

Our last night tradition is Hoop Dee Doo. We used to spend the last evening quietly, maybe my husband taking the kids to the pool while I packed, straightened everything up, and got us ready to leave in the morning :(.

That sucked.

So several years ago we decided TO HECK WITH PACKING UP :rotfl2:. Now, we plan HDD on our last night so we're not hanging around sad because we're leaving. It was so depressing to be in that resort room sorting through, packing etc knowing the fun was over. So now we do something crazy-fun on our last night. If it means we have to basically throw everything back into suitcases and sort it out at home, so be it.

We really love HDD, and have found it's the perfect way to cap off a week of wonderful memories.

Last year we spent the day at AK then back to the hotel for a few hours, I packed up and then we went to 'Ohana for dinner & watched the fireworks!

I personally always head back to MK for my last night, but if you don't have park tickets, I'd say:
-chip & dale campfire
-head over to the poly to watch Wishes from the beach
-hoop de doo?
-or even have a nice dinner at a resort, there's Chef Mickeys & 1900's would be a great one as they're filled with characters to keep the magic going!

We always spend the last day at MK, watching Wishes and soaking it all up. Usually purchasing a few last minute souvies before leaving. We always start a trip at MK and end there.

In Feb we went to Chef Mickey's for dinner then back to MK until midnight! We watched Wishes on BTMR and then the finale next to it and it was a magical way to end the holiday.
