What Is The Best Strategy For Waitlisting?

This is our first trip as DVC members and have made reservations at our home resort (SSR) for 11/27 thru 12/2. We'd like to stay at BVC or BWV, though.

Is it best to wait until 12/2 and waitlist for the whole stay (assuming that there are no available 2bdr at either resort)? Or, do I call each day and waitlist one day at a time (if this is even an option)? I'm not willing to change resorts during my stay, so I'm not sure that the last option is good for us.

Any feedback from those with some experience in this area is appreciated.

I would call at the 7 month mark the first day you are able to and ask what it looks like. You can waitlist one day at a time OR since you don't want to move I'd wait to the last day and then try and book it or put yourself on the wait list for ALL nights.
