We have a friend with a severe gluten allergy that will be in Orlando for a conference the beginning of November. She and her husband would like to have one really nice dinner and I suggested California Grill, Victoria & Alberts, and Narcoosee's. Has anyone with a gluten allergy eaten there? The staff would need to be well trained to know you shouldn't even touch gluten and then touch the person with the gluten allergy's plate, glass, or utensils without washing your hands first. Even this would cause a terrible reaction and make her ill. I appreciate any feedback.

Hi, I'm gluten free (celiac), I've eaten at Narcoosees, Artist Point, Yachtsman, Flying Fish and Blue Zoo after being diagnosed.

The best by far (in my experience) was Flying Fish, they couldn't do enough for me and the food was heavenly.

I'm trying California Grill in a few weeks so it'll be interesting to see how that compares.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll pass on the information about the Flying Fish. They have a very short 2 day trip and I would love them to experience a little magic while they are there. I would love your thoughts after your next visit. Thanks!

What I particularly liked about FF was that they advised I could have anything off the menu and they would customise for me, so I went ahead and ordered the crabcake which was the largest crabcake I've ever seen/eaten lol

Some restaurants I find are more accomodating than others, some will just purely give the gluten free options whilst some like FF will go that extra mile.
